I see Uliss as a key. It's hard to trap him which could lead to many lobs when they get numbers.

Brandon Knight went off that game after struggling against Princeton in the first round.

Yet even though the struggled in the 1st round game he still made the game winner in that 1st round game lol. It just seems like people always forget about the 2011 team even though they were the team that ended our final four drought, not the 2010 team. Our revenge on WVU came in 2011.

I'll never forget the shot Knight hit against Ohio State. Probably the biggest shot in the Calipari era.

Agreed! Two of my all time favorite UK teams that didn't win a title was that 2011 team and last years team. I kind of liked the underdog role those teams had and the run they made in those tournament. Sadly UCONN ended both of those seasons for us though haha.

Cal is 1-8 all-time vs Higgins with 2011 win being the only one. I have a question shouldn't the top of the bracket play the early game? The game again won't tip til 10 or after I guess they want the Cats in primetime.

Like JA said, WVU is a better offensive version of UC. Huggins pretty much owns Cal. It was a great run while it lasted.

Yep. Knight stunk it up against Princeton except for that last shot.

People often forget about that team, but I think they also forget about Brandon Knight as a player. He has the highest season scoring average of any player at UK under Calipari. And while Aaron Harrison deservedly gets praise for his clutch shots last year, Knight had a couple of dandies in the 2011 tournament. Princeton & then Ohio State in the Sweet 16, plus his great performances against WVU & UNC.

Way to get it out of the way early and not keep us in suspense all week! lol

Completely agree. The two teams people have talked about all the time is the 2012 team which is obvious and the 2010 team. Which I know that was the team that got things back on track, however that team did exactly what people complained about Tubby for and that was falling in the elite 8. Everyone wanted to be in the final four again, and the 2010 team was not the one to get it done. The 2011 team was but it is like the forgotten team for some reason.

To get back on track. Hopefully this years squad is the squad we all will always talk about for all time for going 40 and 0 and being National Champs! Have to get by a tough WVU team next though.

@NEERFAN. Where's the poll? Come on man. Can a mod add one, and make the votes public please? That means you @Randy Parker. :)

I posted on another thread why does the Cats play the late game? I guess its for ratings. Only the Cats and Duke have to play the late game. Wisconsin and N.C. St. both play the early games just wondering why its not consistent in all 4 regions. (Ratings I guess)

I think its absolutely ratings. They are going to have this UK team play when they feel they need the ratings the most. Smart on their part. Sucks for us.

Cats are better period. This is Arkansas all over again. They can do whatever they want, they can't push the Cats around. And they definitely won't be able to intimidate the Cats.

Bobby will muck it up for a while and play his ugly style of basketball, but when comes down to it. The Cats are better, and they'll win.
