I see Uliss as a key. It's hard to trap him which could lead to many lobs when they get numbers.

Same thing my son and I were talking about this morning.

I'm a pessimist at heart. WVU scares me far more than MD.

They never quit.

They muck up the game with their defense, and run constantly.

They are tough.

Huggy has Cal's number.

This is a better pressure team than Cincy or Ark.

The unbeaten streak is pressure bullseye galore.

Did I miss anything? :ohbrother:

I think Ulis size might be a problem vs this pressure.

I think the CATS ran into a physical brand of basketball in UC that they haven't seen in awhile and it woke them up a bit. I am expecting a big game Thursday from the boys in blue as they re-focus their efforts on the ultimate prize. I see UK by about 10, wish it would be 20.

UK - 68

WVU - 58

After 36 games + Bahamas hard to beleive this is still a question mark. I would take him anyday of the week and twice on Sunday.

I'm not doubting his ability, just the physics. WVU traps hard. They don't come passive but they come fast to body you and disrupt while the off players play the lanes. Ulis can't be passive or go backwards. Read my above posts. I'm a worst case scenario guy. Unless Gametime tells me I have nothing to worry about, I worry. :lol2:

I am wondering how much money Rent A Center may lose on their couch contracts in WV this week. :D

Cal is 1-8 all-time vs Higgins with 2011 win being the only one. I have a question shouldn't the top of the bracket play the early game? The game again won't tip til 10 or after I guess they want the Cats in primetime.

Cal beat Huggins in 2003 as well by 19 while at Memphis. Record is 2-8 and 1-1 while at UK. Cal called Huggins a few weeks ago and told him he thought they would be in the same bracket.

Cats will assert their will in the 2nd half once again and roll on. Huggins goes home.

Simple....Don't turn it over, win comfortably. Turn it over, it'll be a close one.

West Virginia forced Maryland into 20+ TOs and they still were within 2 possessions in the final minute. If they can't turn you over, they can't beat you.

My biggest concern with this one is a cheap shot like the decapitation of Tremble by Adrian where someone gets seriously injured.

Cats 73

Mountaineers 62.

UK can shoot 35% and still win by 10-12 because their defense is the best around.

Let WV press hard all game but move the darn ball around on offense. No standing around holding the ball. Make the D move back and forth for the entire shot clock with lots of passes around the perimeter. Throw in wave after wave and the Mountaineers tongues will be hanging out by the last several minutes of the game, then the Cats break it open.

I think this one will be "in question" (I use that term very loosely) for 20-30 minutes, but I don't see this one being all that close at the end... Cats by 12-15.

I love this point here. I only saw WVU play a couple games before the tournament, but in 1 game I watched in the Big 12 tournament it didn't look like they had any shooters outside of the guy who made all the free throws at the end last night. Can't remember his name. Just like UC, great defense is awesome and wins games, but if you can't score against this Kentucky team good luck knocking them off.

Higgins from Magnum PI? This game makes me nervous 16thbball, Huggy can flat out coach. He was making fun of the NCAA in the press conference last night, saying how they put the "student-athletes" first in deciding on a 10 pm tip off. It should be a fun week with Calipari and Huggins in the media.
