Congratulations Boyle County on a great season...

Get that state title Purples.

It's been an incredible run for Bowling Green. I confess I never saw this coming, but definitely began to believe as soon as Ballard went down. They were the Goliath in the way and with them gone, there just isn't a team that Bowling Green isn't at least on even ground with. Owensboro is the type of team that can and has given them trouble because of their inside size. The Purples THRIVE on getting inside and to the rim and Holman especially has wreaked havoc on them. Miller's health will be key tomorrow and if he is sidelined I absolutely have Bowling Green as the clear favorite.

Also congrats to Boyle County which had a great run. You do have to think their road may have taken its toll. Going through the 11th and 7th back to back is really, really hard.

I do have to say again as I did in the game thread and in the talk from the other day, I just think playing Bowling Green man to man is almost suicide. The Purples want to do two things - get to the rim, and get to the line. A man defense helps facilitate both of those things. You do not man a team that doesn't want to shoot outside. And that's not to say Bowling Green can't do that. They have proven they can, but it is absolutely not what they WANT to do and for the most part they will not if you don't force them to.

D.G. Sherrill has done a nice job coaching in Bowling Green. The Caldwell County grad has been there 10 seasons and taken them to the state tourney four times now. Last year he got past the first round for the first time...to the final four...before losing to the eventual champ. And now to the championship game.

Agreed. Two tough games in as many days seemed to leave the tank empty for Boyle.

Great run rebels, nothing to hang your heads on. I hate to see the careers end of the rebel seniors. This class will go down as the best to ever lace em up. Bowling Green was fast, fast, fast and fast. Also very athletic and well coached. Boyle class of 2015. I love you, and good luck with whatever you do.

Rebs had a great run. BG put their stamp on this game with a 15-2 run after Boyle came out of the gate with a 5-0 flurry. BG did a great job on the boards and kept a workable margin from about midway 1st half to the final horn. Rebs played extremely hard, but it was not their night. Still, winning the 12th and then knocking out 2 upper echelon teams cannot and will not go unrecognized. Great job! Go 12th, Go Rebs
