Boyle County 85 Ballard 70 (Sweet 16 Quarterfinals)

Featured Replies

I guess this means Coach Renner will be back. I wonder if any other former Bruin players have talented basketballers available like Jerry Eaves and his son.

Are you saying Renner would have retired if Ballard won state?

I would still have to go with Owensboro as the favorite with Boyle a close second. I just don't see how Cov Cath is still in the mix. Talk about overachieving. All coaching and system right there.

I'll take Cov. Cath. as the favorite. It's hard to go against the defending champ. They've been there and should repeat.

Boyle's roster is built for Rupp! Win, lose, or draw Boyle has represented us here in the 12th well! That said, can someone give me a call when the Colton Elkins poster is out for sale? Made my night!!

IMO This was no upset. I thought the better team won the game. Boyle jumped on them early and never looked back.

Who YA With..............? R E B E L S!

How many years has Ballard been a "favorite" and didn't deliver?

I agree Owensboro is the favorite. If they play well I don't see anyone beating them. I also feel the same as you do about CovCath, but thought the same with every game they played last year - so I can't count them out.

It's a toss-up for me in regards to my second. I was really impressed with Boyle and like them as a team. They are fun to watch and I am pulling for them as my emotional favorite at this point. But I think Bowling Green is right there with them from a "chance to win" perspective.

In really enjoyed all of the games today. Also loved the dancing kid. He's destined to be a mega-star!!!!!

Saw where Jason Frakes tweeted that Trinity had beaten three of the 4 in the final 4....crazy.

Any given night.

I could think of about 4-5 off the top of my head in the past decade.

My thoughts as well...would love to hear how this happened.

See the above explanation.

I would also add 2014 when he didn't get out of the region.

Can we now start with the bash Renner thread as I'm seeing a pattern here.

Late to the party here; we were in the Ville all day visiting daughter.

Congrats to the Fighting PPs! Keep it rolling!
