Plenty of young talent in the 7th region. Shout out to Sacred Hearts Grace Berger being selected to the first team, while Ashley Johnson and Kiki Samsel make the 2nd team. Way to go girls!

^ Assumption's Nora Kiesler is heading to Purdue. Apart from that I'm unsure.

Out of 21 players only 5-6 are seniors.

Second team member Alexis Nelson form St. Francis is a freshman. Second leading scorer in the state.

That's not a shock. Two years ago, Ballard, CAL and Eastern were all three ranked in the top-20, but only two were able to advance to the region tourney. Year in and year out, the 28th district is arguably one of the most competitive in the state. And IMO, Ballard's Alex Martin has proven herself to be one of the best senior point guards in the state this year.

That's not a shock. Two years ago, Ballard, CAL and Eastern were all three ranked in the top-20, but only two were able to advance to the region tourney. I agree on Alex Martin, but it also proves you need talent to go with her to win against the better teams. Bri Mischler is talented as well but that is about all Ballard had this year.
