I completely get what you are saying I have nothing but respect for Coach Grahm. He is a stand up guy and I would hate to think he would do a thing outside the rule book.

In this situation it just all seems to weird or too good to be true. There are definitly some underlying issues with all this and I'm confident it will all come out eventually. I just hope for the integrity of the game that all is legit.

By no means am I comparing GRC to Scott Co. Please don't think I'm saying that. I guess it's all in the timing of all this that has amplified the matter. Not to say that people would not have taken issue earlier in the season but now it's just a little more emphasized on.

I think you are a good person who is asking questions many are also. I agree 100% that the timing is strange, All "A" one week, then GRC the next. It raises normal questions. I know if it happened to another 10 regions program I would be asking the same thing. People just want to know.

PB88, you are ok in my book.

You might want to consider expanding your library.

Is this what the Coach told you to say???

My son works with his dad at Toyota.

OK to answer some questions. First there is no transfer rule for 6 or 8 graders. That goes into effect in the 9th grade. Now how did they end up in Winchester. Dad was a teacher's aid in Bath Co, he just got hired on at Toyota which is a substantial salary increase for the family. You cannot blame a man that is trying to make a better life for his family. They didn't want to live in Lexington as they thought it was too big. They felt that Winchester would fit their family as they want to make this their home. I hope this clears up your questions and concerns.

I guess my concern is this. How does an entire coaching staff (GRC's that is) take off work ( do they get personal days to watch and scout schools that are NOT on their schedule) and come to watch this kid in the All A State tourney (which GRC is not eligible to play in), sit with and talk with the girl's mother in the stands at the tourney and leave IMMEDIATELY after that game is played and two weeks later she shows up at GRC. I mean I get the whole middle school parameters debate BUT I mean how obvious does it have to be to everyone else. GREAT people involved in this whole scenario. Really good people but what right is right and what wrong is wrong. If Billy Hicks showed up tonight to watch two middle school players from Whitley County and they were playing Barbourville everyone would be ready to call the KHSAA in a heartbeat right?

You are right it doesnt pass the smell test. GRC loses two games in a row and all of a sudden has a girl that came from Bath County whose dad now works in Georgetown and plays in Winchester.

Good post Corners In!! I hope for the integrity of Clark Co. and high school girls basketball that this whole situation is not true, but it does seem a little fishy to me.

Yes there is a transfer rule for 6-8 graders, the same transfer restrictions apply to them as high school students if they try to play for more than 1 school in the SAME school year, which she is obviously doing!

Why is there not an investigation into this referee rather than an investigation into this players eligibility? That's my question...

Should be both IMHO

Everything was done legally. Parents got new jobs.

On the player eligibility, how many of these posts are based on the facts versus an "opinion" on another school getting an advantage by adding another player? Maybe the father has been trying for some time to get another job and everything just happpend at this time?

Back to the bad call....during the course of a game, I agree they let a lot of contact go uncalled...i call it having to be strong with the ball but as long as it's consistent on both sides. But, I have always felt that a defensive player contesting a end-of-quarter heave had better be very sure of not making contact...a foul is a foul and it is a very costly foul if called. Why contest a heave that closely under the situation? Would like to see video of it as well to make an unbiased opinion as well, but i also feel it is so much easier to ref a game sitting 20-ft off the court than it is to get the best view of a play/situaiton from on the court.

Jobs may be true but I know there is a process to go through and I have never seen it done in one week. KHSAA moves at a turtle pace rather than a Hare pace.
