While she is the one that took the shot, I agree it is immaterial to the loss.

It is a legit question about the transfer. Had I known it, I would have asked the question already, regardless of who they played. Of course considering she has been at a "few" different schools adds to the makes it an even more legit question.

That post may have came across a little snarky on my point, and that was not my intention. However, I can easily see where it would raise a lot of questions. Good chance I will see someone in the program tomorrow and I will see what the word is about how it works with this case.

Not rock throwing. Just wearin my pride on my sleeve once again. It's not every yr an all a school gets an oppertunity to get a huge win over a school the size of a GRC. And to have a ref decide the outcome make himself bigger than the game your damn right I'm a little bitter. I wish I had a video of the final play but I don't have access to game film. I never once took anything away from the Lady Cards and I won't. They played a very good ballgame as well. I just think that the bigger schools sometimes don't place as much emphasis on a game like this one as a small school like ours does.

To your point Goldie I'm not doubting one bit the boys were devistated and really wanted that game but while the situations are similar they at the same time are very different. The refs didn't decide the game it was a last second shot that was a 50-50 chance.

Now I've always said if it's a foul in the first quarter it's a foul in the fourth. But with all the no calls that happened all game long why call that at that time. Like I said on the broadcast it wad a travesty in Brooksville. Let the game go into OT and if we lose so be it. Just let the kids decide it. What's so wrong with that

My apologies to all the GRC fans in no way did I mean ill-will with my previous comment. Can't help my Polar Bear and Lady Bear pride and if I feel we were on the short end of a screw job bet your "donkey" I will tell it like I saw it. :thumb:

That was a great post PB88. Bracken Co is lucky to have such a great fan as you. Hope the chance to meet you in the future comes up. I will buy the popcorn!

Yes they did because the clock had already gone off.....basket shouldn't have counted and should have been OT.

I came from a very small school, 23 in graduating class and enrollment of 180 students grades 1-12. So yes I do know what a win like that can mean. But as I said in the long scheme of things the most important that the girls, coaching staff and fans can do in learn form this. Sometimes a loss like this can be a positive thing come post season.

I was surprised by your comments saying "to all the high mighty players and GRC fans", My self and our players, coaching staff and fans do not feel that way at all just because we are a big school. I figured you were upset, and thanks for the apologies. Wish nothing but the best for your team.

The girls eligablity being in question is a whole other set of issues that I personally am not very concerned about at this point. Take away her 15 and this is a totally different ballgame. She hit the game winners but still the point is we were in a chance to be in OT and the ref decided otherwise.

Don't set your sights too high.

This call does not mean anything in the big scheme of things. All 10th Region girls teams should be concerned how this girl goes to several different schools and plays in the Class A and then play for Clark one week later. Does her MOM work at the KHSAA? PolarBear98, do you think any girl from Bracken come to Mason or vice versa and be eligible to play? Cody Staggs was not allowed to play or the Likins girl went to ST. Pat and had to sit out? It is just a little unfair that Mason, Bracken, Scott, Campbell etc. work all year to get better and try to knock Clark off their throne and they get a girl to come to school right before the tournament who can score 15 a game!

Sumo I cant argue with anything you are saying here. It is kinda sketchy how she at one school one day and a 10th region power house the next and playing at a high level. I do not know how any of that stuff works and Im not going to attempt to figure it out.

To the bolded if this situation had occurred the kid in question would probably not be playing in the same season as the transfer. Lots of paperwork and things to go through and either school would probably hold it up in the legal system as long as possible.

I'm sure we have not heard the end of this and until more details come to light I'm not going to get too excited about it. Just go on the assumption that all is good until some evidence comes out to make me think otherwise. I just hope for the integrity of the sport that everything is on the up and up. The girl is a nice player and has a strong career ahead of her no matter where she plays.

Insert Bracken County into the 10th Region elite discussion.

:sssh::sssh: we like it when people think we cant do something or we arnt good enough. Just drives them even more to prove the nay-sayers wrong :thumb:

Goldie, you know all about Clark. How can this girl start for Bath Co. in the Class A State tourney last week and play for Clark this week? It takes more than a week to move and fill paperwork.

There have been several stops in this young lady's career to date, so they must have it down to a science.

I'm gonna ask a stupid question.

Is the fact that she's in the 8th grade (middle school) make a difference - even if she's playing varsity ball? I wouldn't think so, but genuinely have no idea.
