it was a desperation heave with a Bracken player in the area but there was all zeros on the clock before she even attempted the shot the ref said it was on the shot so 3 free throws were granted. it was a :poop: call Jimmy Beckett was one of the other officals and he was ready to wave off the whistle and get ready for OT until Heighton made ot clear that free throws were to be shot. He made it all about him

Sounds like a mess. I did hear that Bailey Cummings played a whale of a game (like she always does). GRC Skinner and Flowers providing most of the offense and with Hardiman leading the rebounding charge with 12, 4 points and 4 blocks and 4 assists.

Congrats to the Cards for getting the win in front of a rowdy crowd.

Sounds like it was an exciting game.:thumb:

The Flowers kid is a nice player can shoot the ball well as well as a good ball handler. The 10th is wide open Im just glad our girls played well and proved they can play with and have a chance to beat the regions elite teams. The ending had nothing to do with the competition of the kids they all played hard just wish it had not been a messy finish

I like Bracken County, have always been a big fan. Perhaps they will meet again in the regions. :)

She was not listed on the KHSAA website where I got the rosters. It threw me a curveball when she checked in had to refer to her as #50 for a few poss. :lol2: Didn't know there was an eligibility question. :idunno:

She was listed on Bath County's roster in the All "A" Tourney program that was just played a week ago.

She is also listed in a box score from a regular season Bath County game that was just played on January 31.

There are two girls named Flowers who currently appear on the Bath County roster; one is listed as an 8th grader and no grade classification is given for the other.

It's the one that is listed as an 8th grader that is being referenced in the above posts.

I assume the 3 officials got together to see who had what and when, correct?

No foul!!! Just a bang bang play at the final horn. last second heave at the horn. shot was 10 feet short. should have just went to OT and let the girls decide the outcome.

Absolutely!!!

How does a girl play for Bath Co. last week and for Clark Co. this week? Where is KHSAA? They are hard to figure out sometime!!!!! :irked::irked::irked:
