  1. You all want Campbell county to show their hand...play your game....if you win then congrats ....its 3 am.
  2. I agree....no sour grapes here. I'm a Brossart fan and I wasn't saying anything negative about the Lady Camel players either or twisting words. I was just posting my opinion that I feel teams need to work in every game and prepare themselves (i.e. play "their" game) for tougher opponents...if it's pressing and playing tenacious defense then you do that. If the starters had started the third quarter and been pressing....different story with a 50-pt lead at half. I think Campbell County has a very special team and season going (these don't happen very often around here); and merely stating to realize what's going on and enjoy it and no need to post demeaning comments about members of your community when there's a well known variance in the talent at the moment. You're talking three Division I players on one team and maybe a future one that is a freshman at the other school. Lady Camels will be fun to watch in March.
  3. My two cents on the game and the comments: 1) Lady Camels are very good and very impressive...i think definite top 5 in the state and will be really fun to watch in the State tournament (and I'll add that yes they still need to play the regional and come out of it which i think they will). 2) I'm not upset entirely by the score...maybe surprised what it was at halftime, but I believe as a coach you play "your" game and you ask your girls to hustle and the starters were done at half...pressing when you're up 30 (eh...judegement call but I still feel you have to play your game)....and if you're that much better than your opponent then getting beat like that then you know what you need to work on to make yourself better. 3) I'm just surprised at the comments..."biggest atmosphere of the year didn't help"....."I'm sure they'll score more than 18 points in every game next year"....didn't need to be said. Camels are very good this year....we get it. Schools go in spurts of being up and down....have class with your posts. These two schools are so far apart the past 2-3 years, but they'll be more competitive the next few years. 4) the Lady Camel players carry themselves very well. They know they are talented but they are great kids. Wish the posters on here acted like the players. And also, the bright spot...how about over 7,500 lbs/dollars raised for the food store by these two schools!.....over 35,000 since this started seven years ago. Tremendous how this has grown.
  4. Not sure how often this comes up in high school team sports; but if a small school doesn't have enough kids come out for a team sport to field a team, are there any options for the existing players to play without sitting out a year (if they played varsity previously) assuming they transfer?
  5. I'll start a new thread b/c this is a curious topic on what kids/families can do in small schools where a team sport can't be fielded with enough players...assuming Calvary Christian dont get enough players to come out for softball.
  6. Congratulations to all these young, hard-working Ladies!! Lots of talent in this 10th Region and very little difference between the top 15 players. Good luck to all in Districts.
  7. I'm not overly impressed with the Camels' depth and what you see. There's some talent in the Camels starting five...no question.
  8. Very nice!! Everyone wins with the FOODout !!! This is a very worthy cause and I hope it continues to grow. Great opportunity for students to lead this effort and have an awesome community contribution to add to their college applications and job applications.
  9. I don't know what year there was a realignment in girls soccer with the regions...
  10. The Lady Camels were young, and more young talent coming up. Brossart (2012,2013,2015) or Campbell County (2014) has won it the past four years (not sure when the two schools joined the 10th in soccer)
  11. Close game. Who scored for Lady Camels? Congrats to the Lady Camels and the seniors...who were their seniors this year?
  12. I will agree with you on the last part of your post...that when these two schools compete against each other then you can throw their records out the window...that said though it seems to spill over to Twitter and BGP for some reason... I'll just leave it at this and then you can have your response...I dont think you offended any Brossart fans. Nachos-guy (whom I'm not sure is a Brossart fan or just a NKy fan) stated about the inappropriate Twitter posts against a Brossart player. If you have a daughter on the team, check them out and see what started it. I will come to the defense (as i have in the past even for a lot of CC players) of people who post inappropriate things on here about individual kids or undermine the accomplishments of a team just because my team lost. If "my" team lost, then i try to congratulate the other team because I do have friends on the other team. Ok, i'm over it. As usual, these BB-CC threads get away from the actual game and turn into what it is today...all because of a handful of posters...
  13. I'm glad my kids are out of high school now, and I am not on these threads as much any more. The hatred in these posts against a small school that is roughly 1/4 the size of Campbell County and calling the girls "lucky" for defeating the larger school...come on. It was an exciting game...the Brossart goalie made some outstanding stops...the Camels couldn't find the net...you should have just congratulated them.
