The Brossart Lady Stangs and the Campbell County Lady Camels played through 80 minutes of regulation and two 5 minute overtime periods deadlocked at 0-0 before going to a PK shootout to determine the 37th District Girls Soccer Champion.

 

The Brossart gals out-shot the Camel ladies 2-1 to claim the heavy hardware.

 

Lydia Kramer, Leah Hertzenberg and Gracie Florimonte were tabbed All-Tournament for the Camels.

Kate Goller, Megan Beal, Megan Cookendorf were Lady Stangs named All-Tournament.

Brossart's Sophomore Keeper Mariah Frommeyer was designated Tournament MVP.

 

Others named All-Tournament - Calvary - Tory Williams and Hannah Back

Scott named Marissa Whitney and Brooke Williams

 

Both teams advance to next week's Regional Tournament.

Congratulations to the Lady 'Stangs !! Special congrats to sophomore GK Maria Frommeyer who was outstanding, deflecting shot after shot in regular time and overtime and also during PK's. I know she does not like accolades or attention for things like this, but she was phenomenal and the MVP was well-deserved.

Wow! One of the most exciting games I've watched, neither team deserved to lose. Congrats Lady Mustangs. The season is not yet over for the Lady Camels, good luck in the regional.

is this along the same lines as last year where false allegations were made after this game where I think the CC trainer even said was not true.. Not saying in this instance this is true and certainly not saying its false.. I have no idea if it is or not.. I think a lot of stuff is said just to stir pot possibly??

Not sure that poster wants to stir any pots. Of 18 posts, 16 were in threads where Campbell County lost.

I'm glad my kids are out of high school now, and I am not on these threads as much any more. The hatred in these posts against a small school that is roughly 1/4 the size of Campbell County and calling the girls "lucky" for defeating the larger school...come on. It was an exciting game...the Brossart goalie made some outstanding stops...the Camels couldn't find the net...you should have just congratulated them.
