Bertsch and Hegyi with their usual strong performances. Only head scratcher was Coach Russell put them back in the game in the fourth quarter with a 30-point lead. Guess he wanted to pad the averages? For Brossart, the Donnelly kid has a strong game. Lightning quick and we had trouble keeping up with him.

^^ Thanks for noting the efforts of Bryce Donnelly tonight. We ask him to do a lot and does his best,which is pretty good.

 

I thought that we played much harder in the second half than in the first. Camels continued to score but had to work harder for it, and offensively we did a better job of attacking the rim and it somewhat paid off.

 

Camels are the real deal. Bertsch and Hegyl are indeed their battleships.

The CC nepitism continues to grow, they take care of their own. Surprise, a freshman suddenly called up to varsity. More coach kids names grow on that roster

Tough night for the Mustangs. Camels were six deep off the bench in the 2 quarter. Generous substitutions by the Camels the entire game.

Could've been a lot worse than this.

 

Really enjoyed that I could walk in at the end of the 1st quarter and cop court side seats. LOL

I'm thinking Coach Russell puts Bertsch and Heygi back in because it's their last one vs. Brossart. Wasn't trying to run it up. Heck they sat a bunch in the 2nd quarter, too.

Bertsch and Hegyi deserve all the minutes they receive. Those two have worked their tail ends off throughout high school. Like LCDAWGS19 said, it is their last BBHS game. Also, any coach worth his salt wants to keep his studs conditioned and in game shape. Congrats go to all the seniors...Bertsch, Hegyi, Geiman, Marlow, and Clark on their last Crosstown Showdown.

Calvary is making a push for that 3 seed in the district lol. Brossart looked rough tonight, but seems like it's been a season long struggle, not just tonight.

BB just doesn't have the talent of teams past. CC has a lot of talent. Most could say they saw this coming. I'm sure BB kids didn't give up though.
