Then you know less about local football than you think you do. Cov Cath's Frosh have beat Highlands the past two years. They hadn't beaten them in forever prior to that. The JV games have been pretty well split. The talent is there.

Come on man. It is pretty obvious from prior posts that he was pretty much shown the door. What he has, had or will have had nothing to do with it obviously.

I was a little surprised that it did not happen in December.

Rowe meet with him unless once after the first Highland game and put it mildly Rowe was not happy.

And yes Rowe was hearing from both parents and players.

Also heard over the holidays that it was starting to affect the capital campaign.

I for one am sad to see him go, I like Dave.

But some of the things that happen in the lock room this year, I can understand why there was a mini revolt this year and Rowe was staring to hear from parents.

One of the rumors is that he was told not to apply for any other jobs, but went ahead and applied to Roger Bacon.

The JV squads split this year. Although the Varsity Birds beat them easily in the regular season this they squeaked out a 3 pt win in the playoffs. The Birds JV was 1-5 with the sole 2 pt win over Cov Cath.

I would not say squeaked in the playoffs. Score was not indicative of the game IMO, but that really means nothing in regards to this topic.

Bottom line is the CovCath Program is mentally jacked when it comes to playing Highlands. The Administration will likely look to someone to try and change the mentality of the players as Wirth just couldnt do it. They can say it wasnt "not beating Highlands" all they want but I am sure that was part of it.
