Back is the gym full time. Mainly doing cardio and working on my physical therapy for my shoulder that is still bothering me. I started using a preworkout for the first time. C4, anyone else use this before?

I've tried several others but not C4. To be honest they are all pretty much the same so I just usually get the one on sale. Currently not using any. Probably going to jump back on one soon. My morning workouts are starting to drag. Will either go back with Jak3D or NO Xplode.

That's pretty much what I figured. It seems to work OK.

They have so much caffeine that they will help you train harder. The trick is cycling them, once you've done it for a while you get use to it and it becomes normal again. I usually try to take a couple of weeks off of it once the container is finished.

All this gym talk is intimidating. I have REALLY REALLY let myself go since the twins were born and that was waaaay too long ago to be a good excuse. Enrolled in a local "boot camp" program on 1/5/15. Has a variety of classes and a running club with support groups, meal preps, etc. Got several friends to join for added accountablility. Happy (THRILLED) to report I am down 17 lbs as of this morning, and 32 lbs from my all-time high in Dec2013. Running is HARD, a plank is impossible and those burpee things? Who invented THOSE???

:dancingpa Congrats PigSkin Junkie! Keep posting up your progress.

I agree on the burpees. Hate them, but have gotten to where they are not as hard for me so I hate them less. Planks are awful but they work.

I want to FINISH a 5K this spring....did not say run, just finish. I would like to lose 10- 12% of my weight in this first 16 week session and hold a 1-minute plank. Definitely building muscle and the lbs seem to almost be falling off. Eating sooo much better, which has been an issue for hubby, the chef/baker extraordinaire, but he's coming around. I picture my weight loss in terms of bowling balls. Throw 17 lbs down the alley...that's more than I can heave so I feel accomplished already! Stupid maybe but it's working for me.

That's it my man. I didn't know if posting the actual video would be ok due to some language. It is an awesome video if you're into squats or thinking about starting.

That's the most you can hope for with burpees. No one likes them, you just get to where you can tolerate them. Maybe we should organize a BGP burpee mile. :sneaky:

I love burpees and they are second nature. On Tuesday I did 7 straight minutes of 10 burpees with a box jump, 15 kettlebell swings. AMRoundsAP. My best burpee challenge, I do a burpee and in to a frog jump for one lap around the indoor track.

No need to get intimidated! Stick with it and have a blast. We've all been there.

Burpee box jumps and burpee pullups are both nice variations. Another fun one is to add them to a barbell movement and do over the bar burpees. So do like 10 cleans then 10 over the bar burpees as an AMRAP. The worst workout i've ever done was the 5th workout in last years open. Had thrusters and over the bar burpees.

My favorite are wall burpees.

A very good workout for me today, with the high point being, the dumbbell bench press using the 95 pound one, for 3 sets of 10.

First time 3 sets of 10 since benching again.
