Total failure at the gym today followed by a double workout.

I missed 315 again.

Could not lock it out, but this time it did not go down, I got it up to a certain point and held it. I let my spotter know I did not have it.

I finished my workout and as I was getting ready to hit the shower my sister and niece walked in. I did a 10 exercise workout with my niece. All were sets of 2-15 reps or 3 sets for 10.

Overall feeling miserable about missing but happy to do a double workout.

Just did 2 T25 Betas with my daughter. Nice change from solo workouts.

My workout tomorrow may be shoveling, by hand, a path to the airport for the 10am flight to Cancun......

Was a bored this afternoon so went and hit the gym.

Did squats, 5x5 strict pull ups with 2 bar muscle ups after each set. Worked on squat cleans after that, then finished up with a 2000m easy row.

Really hope that you get there!

This is a really good video about squatting. If squats are part of your routine or thinking about starting them please give it a watch.

Not really wfs due to some language.

The word filter doesn't seem to like the letters b s together.

Chest day today.

I opted to skip going for 315 and went with doing more reps and more sets.

I was able to get 245 for 5 which is my best since coming back.

I had no spotter today, so I only went up to 275 and did it for 1.

So much different without a spotter to give me a lift off.

The first work out of the 2015 CrossFit Games Open will be released tonight. I was a little heart broken when I signed up this year and was put into the Men's 40-44 age group.

Back is the gym full time. Mainly doing cardio and working on my physical therapy for my shoulder that is still bothering me. I started using a preworkout for the first time. C4, anyone else use this before?

I've been relegated to the treadmill for the upcoming marathon I am training for. Ran 13 miles on it last Saturday. Broke it down in to 5-5-3 mile segments so it was not too bad. My biggest issue of late running on the treadmill is that my legs just die on me. My cardio is fine, but I think it has to do with not being able to stride out fully. The reason I say this is yesterday I did a speed workout, so my paces were varying and I did 6 miles in 43 minutes (7:10 pace) no problem. If I just set it at 7.5 mph (8 mph) my legs start to die after 2 miles. It helps adding in some tempo speeds and hills.

I have to breakup my cardio between the treadmill and elliptical because running on the treadmill is just so brutal. Going 13 miles on it sounds like my personal hell.

Being a runner for some time you know of certain tricks to make it go faster. My best advice is to watch a basketball game on the treadmill. I watched the entire UL game last Saturday.

My daughter has gotten hooked on "Grey's Anatomy" and is watching the series on Netflix on her iPhone while she does 6-7 miles on the treadmill. She loves it. It's her "study break" every night.
