My goal is to work out 5 days a week and stay on track with it. NO EXCUSES! I find that when I do that, everything else in my life is in check.

I really like the Focus T25 program. Got a little off track over the holidays but ready to make it a priority again.

Just finished doing an Insanity DVD with my daughter. Fun times. We laugh way too much when we workout together. :lol2:

Hoops5, if you got any hotter, you'd have to carry your own air conditioning wherever you go.

Currently, I'm getting fat, have gained 10 lbs since October from 190 to 200. That's not going to fly, I'm hitting the gym hard in the coming weeks and months.

How is it going? How is the motivation? Are you moving toward your goals?

  • Author

I have been sticking with my goal of working out 5 or 6 times a week, for 25min to an hour.

Need to really focus on better eating.

Anybody out there? Post up and tell us what you are doing. It's motivating when others share their stories.

I bike a lot, weather permitting. I was in the best shape of my life this summer, but winter has taken its toll. I ride to and from work in the warmer months though, then try to get in 10-15 miles a day on top of that. So my goals haven't changed much from normal I suppose, its just a bad time of year for me to stay in shape lol.

If I were to have a new goal I suppose it would be to bike from the Ashland area to Cinci and catch a Reds game at some point this summer. A local bike club makes that trip occasionally, I never had the time to do it last summer though.

December 2012 I weighed 205 and was considered morbidly obese due to my weight and the fact I was over 40. I decided to eat better and exercise. It took me several months but I lost 50 pounds and began running. From November of 2013 through December 2014 I ran nine 5ks and one 10k. I have already ran one 5k this year and I have a 10k in February. My goal this year is to run a couple of half marathons. I am currently training for my 1st half and trying to fit in 4 runs a week. Very hard to stay motivated but then I think how far I have come and how I want to keep moving forward.

Wow! Congratulations! That is a great accomplishment. Keep posting up your progress. Good luck with all of your races this year.

Thanks so much. Keep up your workouts. I need to look into the T25. It takes a lot of dedication to work out 5 days a week. That's Beast Mode.

25 minutes and you are done. :thumb: I have started doing 2 every other day; one cardio followed by one with weights. Then when it's warmer and dry I might alternate to running outside.

My thing with running is that I don't like to run in my neighborhood because I don't want to be seen. So I drive to a park and run. But that is too time consuming. So for now I just do the DVDs in my basement where no one can see me. :lol2:

I guess I just don't care, I run when and where I can. We had a border collie/lab mix for 13 years and when you asked her if she was ready for bath she would avert her eyes and walk away. We think she believed that if she didn't look at us then we couldn't see her. Well, that's how I feel when I run, I pay attention to cars but I never look at the people...maybe they don't see me. :lol2:

I got on scale about 6 weeks back and couldn't believe I had gained about 25 pounds since last April. I started working with kettle bells and lost 10lbs in 3 weeks.

Now the question. I like beer. I will watch what I eat during week and limit beer but on weekends I like my buds. I find now that I'm just basically maintaining. Is it possible to drink and lose weight or should I just expect to maintain? Thanks.
