Slow and easy, my friend.

Good advice. Going to start increasing the calcium too!

It's time!!! After a week of gorging at the Sweet 16 (which included a "one creamy-whip per session" limit) - I am now ready to get serious about working out and losing weight. Goal - lose 15 lbs by May 31st. There.....I said it. Now I am committed.

You got this, @4Runner!

I'm gonna weigh myself tomorrow to see how much I have lost. I know I feel better and that's more important than what the scale says. Pants fit a little better.

So here is the deal on my fave workout---I think I'm over doing it and I'm bummed. :(

T25 Speed 2.0. 25 minutes of fast nonstop moves---probably up on the balls of my feet about 75% of the time. Now I'm starting to have pain in the metatarsal area of both feet. I am prone to stress fractures there. So I need to take a few days off of my fave workout, switch things up and only do it a couple times a week.

Oh well. Things could be worse.

Figured out how to keep doing my fave workout without possible injury---did the moves flat footed. Was not able to jump as high and was a bit slower, but still got a good cardio workout with no foot pain. :thumb:

Slipping backwards this year. My strength training is pretty good, but my cardio isn't so good as I am having (once again) achilles inflamation on my right achilles. It is very frustrating.

Awful when the spirit is willing but the feet are weak/ have issues.

I am bummed, but as I have gotten old (er), it is a way of life that something always seems to hurt. Last year I jogged some 5K races and a couple of 4 miler trail runs, and it was a lot of fun. I was looking forward to getting going with a few more this year, but there is no running through an inflamed achilles. So...I will put in more time on the bike and the eliptical and keep an ice pack on the tendon and hopefully the down time won't last too long.

I like the positive attitude!

CrossFit Games Open work out 15.4 released last night.

Complete as many reps as possible in 8 minutes of:

3 handstand push-ups

3 cleans

6 handstand push-ups

3 cleans

9 handstand push-ups

3 cleans

12 handstand push-ups

6 cleans

15 handstand push-ups

6 cleans

18 handstand push-ups

6 cleans

21 handstand push-ups

9 cleans

Etc., adding 3 reps to the handstand push-up each round, and 3 reps to the clean every 3 rounds.

Men clean 185 lb.

Women clean 125 lb.

The HSPUs are going to get tough pretty fast. If I can get through the 12 HSPU and the 6 cleans I think I'll be happy.

How many reps did you get? I had to scale mine and

Ended up.getting 132 reps

did it tonight, got 27. Had about 3 no reps on the HSPU. Struggled with getting feet above the line. HSPU are not my strong suit to start with.

after a long weekend of basketball.......If you watched either the UCLA/SMU, UC/PU, or the UK/Hampton game......

You saw OTB sitting in the third row at the end of the side of the bench that UK was on, two seats in front of Ashley J.......BTW, she is a great UK fan but a little annoying to sit by. All of the fans that usually come to take my picture, were taking her pic....but I digress.........then a weekend in Lex doing the HS Basketball tourny......congrats OB.

Even with multi days drinking multi drinks.......I am down 41......and down 7 inches in the waist.....almost down to goal 1....

The 5th and final work out of the CrossFit Games Open released last night. And of course they save the best for last...thrusters :puke:

[h=1]Workout 15.5[/h] 27-21-15-9 reps for time of:

Row (calories)

Thrusters

Men use 95 lb.

Women use 65 lb.

I'd rather get kicked in the junk than do thrusters.

Second worst workout I've ever done. Took me 16:59 to finish. Just glad it's over.
