AJ Green is officially listed as "doubtful".

 

If he passes the independent test on Saturday, he is playing, if he doesn't, he isn't. He is physically ready and able to play, doesn't mean he'll pass the final test of the protocol.

 

Obviously, if he doesn't play, the Bengals have nearly no chance. Of course, an offense with no Green, no Jones, no Eifert, and Mr. Drop "Sanu" will result in a horrific passing game....which will be Andy's fault.

I agree that the best thing Mike Brown did was to step away and let others make the personnel decisions. I think the only reason he did was he knew if he didn't, attendance would decline and profits would go down. He also did it about 15 years too late.

The NFL is made for everyone to be average, which they have always struggled to be. I will support the Bengals again when they try and be a big boy and play to win championships, not wild card runner up t-shirts. If you think Mike Brown has stepped aside for anyone, you are sadly mistaken. To keep a coach in place for over ten years that has been mediocre at best should tell you something. Feel free to keep supporting mediocrity and don't forget to get your wildcard t shirt. I did not mean to interrupt.

I'm sure they miss you. If your evidence of them aspiring to mediocrity is because they keep Marvin, let me know the Championship coach that will rush in when Marvin is gone. They have reached the point where they can be consistently good, and hopefully they'll move beyond 10-6 and early playoff departures, but if not, life will continue to go on and you'll continue to not support them. Oh well.

Who cares why he did it....he did it. Agreed it was way late, but you can't undo it so we may as well enjoy the present (and hopefully the future).

Attendance still declined this year about 2500 per game over last year.

That is a league issue, moreso than a Bengal issue. The TV experience is 100x better than the in-stadium experience, especially when you mix in over-served Jersey Guy.

Question what all have the Bengals not done besides not get rid of Marvin that shows they aren't trying to win championships? Please Dont talk about big free agency signings. This league has shown the most consistent winning franchises build through the draft. People talk about how when the Bengals do have talent they are not able to sign them back. So the Bengals were smart when they had all their cap room and have locked up all their talent and Green is next. The Bengals have drafted better than anyone as of late. Thats what winning teams do. Now the Dalton thing they basically are in an impossible spot. I believe an article posted a few weeks ago about the Dalton scale was perfect. He is not good enough to say he is a top qb. However he is not bad enough to say he is horrible. He has the results in the season to show he can get the job done. However we know about his play in big games. Yet even with that the Bengals were smart and got him to sign a team friendly contract that they can get out of in year two if his deal. Also if he wants to see all the money he can make in his deal he has to do what we all want to see and that is win in the playoffs. So once again smart move by the Bengals.

 

So there is only one argument you can make now on moves they have or haven't made to try to win championships and that is to fire Marvin. Mike Brown has sucked as an owner for the majority of his time. However the way he has done things over the last four years is how you build championship teams. Which I openly admit if they fail again in first round then they need to try to hire a new coach to try to get them to take the next step.

You missed the point HB, 84% of the bets against the spread have been on Indy. Ideally the spread should produce a 50/50 betting ratio.
