December 23, 201411 yr Dalton was still bad and should have had 3 INT's. Hill and Hue bailed him out. He also sacrificed AJ who looked like he was trying to play with a broken arm.
December 23, 201411 yr Not to take away from an outstanding Bengals win, but is Manning more hurt than we're led to believe? He had no zip on passes in the first half and he knew it. For instance, they had a WR screen set up on a third down that he normally would have checked out of, but the Bengals ate it up because they knew he wasn't going down field. He seemed to loosen up in the third quarter a bit, but Bengal DBs still feasted on weakly thrown balls.

If he can't rainbow it in over 15 yards to beat bad coverage he is struggling big time. Count on it getting a lot of run this week...
December 23, 201411 yr Enjoy it now, Bengals fans. You've got B-2-B trips to the Confluence ahead of you. Ill be sporting Black 36 to mark the occasions.
December 23, 201411 yr I will take this one. I can't tell you how many times I said "here we go again", but they came over adversity. I really love Hill, but he just cannot keep putting the ball on the ground. O line did a great job tonight. I didn't hear Miller or Ware's name much. Ad was AD. He did some nice reads running and was accurate most of the night. Something is wrong downfield, though. I will take it. Kirkpatrick is starting to get it and that's good because they were eating Newman up. Age may have caught u to him. Pac Man is just a ball player.
December 23, 201411 yr ^ Peyton has been bad for over a month. He's either hurting or badly fatigued.
December 23, 201411 yr ^ Peyton has been bad for over a month. He's either hurting or badly fatigued. Except for the third quarter he had no zip on the ball at all.
December 23, 201411 yr My first take on this one: Nice win for the Bengals in a game Dunlap came up huge in the second half. Bengals O line and running game is really clicking well. Playing very well. Broncos look to be in serious trouble to me. Manning isn't himself. Lots of injuries on the D side of the ball. If Green is hurt, where do the Bengals turn? The way the chips have fallen, am I correct in thinking a Bengals/Steelers first round playoff matchup is a distinct possibility? A Bengals win likely gets them the three seed, and kicks Pitt to the six spot. A Bengals loss likely puts Pitt at the four seed and the Bengals at five. Not a fan of playing the same team in back to back weeks. I think that's very likely to happen.

Count on it getting a lot of run this week... YEs he has and that is why all of a sudden (except for last night because they were playing from behind most of the time) the Broncos have went to the running game. He is definitely hurting and can't throw the ball. All his balls were lacking any velocity, even in the 3rd qtr they were just balls thrown up to wide open receivers with no zip. There is no way he plays next year if he can't get whatever is wrong with his arm fixed.

December 23, 201411 yr Actually I believe with a Bengals win they are the 2 seed and get a bye. Only if Denver loses to Oakland.
December 23, 201411 yr Only if Denver loses to Oakland. You are right, for some reason I thought Denver only had 10 wins.
December 23, 201411 yr Two turning points in the game for the Bengals. The first was the 80 + yard run from Hill in the first quarter. After the pick 6, it was the old here we go again for the Bengals, but that run re energized the whole team and got them believing. The second was the facemask call on the Broncos reciever near the beginning of the fourth quarter. That whiped out a 25 yard gain and took all the momentum away from the Broncos who were only down by 2 points at that time. A big shout out to the defense, outside of the third quarter, played as good as it gets. Also the special teams really gave the Bengals a big boost exept for the kickoff to start the second half. Hue Jackson called a masterpiece. Not everything worked, but in the first half the Bengals played keep away from Manning with long drives and timely screen plays. Daulton didn't play exceptional, but did enough (short passes, and zone read runs) to keep the offense moving. Big win!!! Keep building on this.
December 23, 201411 yr It feels good to finally win one. I must admit, after a quick 3 & out to start the game (with a partially blocked punt) promptly followed by a pick 6, I thought: 'here we go again'. Glad I was wrong.
