Bengals 37 Broncos 28

Big win... Too bad the offense doesn't have Jones or Eiffert... And the defense doesn't have Burfict. I'd like their chances of making a run in the playoffs better if those guys were available.

And Green may be hurt bad enough to screw up his effectiveness.

Would like to have Smith back also but oh well. Every team deals with the injuries, just need the next man up to do what he's paid to do.

I find the discussion on sports radio about how bad the weather was last night laughable. That is a perfect example of the media feeding on itself and running completely off course. The weather last night was as good as it gets in Cincinnati on December 22. Yes, it started raining in the fourth quarter and got worse as the game went on. It probably had an impact on the comeback attempt drives by Manning late in the game, but the weather was not a big factor in last night's game.

Huge win!!! Defense steps up when we needed them to. Hill and Gio big games

i do worry though we can't go into the post season with a QB who can't hit the side of a barn if it's 10 yards downfield.

Dalton played the type of game that people said before the season that they wanted him to play. He did hit the majority of his passes, he did have that one bad pick, however other than that he didn't do anything special but just managed the game and that is what people said they wanted from him.

My first take on this one:

Nice win for the Bengals in a game Dunlap came up huge in the second half.

Bengals O line and running game is really clicking well. Playing very well.

Broncos look to be in serious trouble to me. Manning isn't himself. Lots of injuries on the D side of the ball.

If Green is hurt, where do the Bengals turn?

The way the chips have fallen, am I correct in thinking a Bengals/Steelers first round playoff matchup is a distinct possibility? A Bengals win likely gets them the three seed, and kicks Pitt to the six spot. A Bengals loss likely puts Pitt at the four seed and the Bengals at five. Not a fan of playing the same team in back to back weeks. I think that's very likely to happen.

The Bengals have no chance of playing the Steelers in the first round of the playoffs now no matter how the game goes next week. If the Bengals win the Bengals will be the 3 seed and the Steelers the 5 seed even if the Ravens and Chargers win. The Steelers hold the tiebreaker on the Ravens, and the Steelers will have a better conference record than the Chargers so the Steelers hold the tiebreaker on them.

If the the Steelers win next week, then they will be the 3 seed because them and the Colts will have the same record and the Steelers hold the tiebreaker because they beat the Colts. The Bengals would then be the 5th seed. So we don't have to worry about seeing the Steelers in the first round.

Could have been. Wasn't. So did they pull Nelson? Nope. So lets not make a big deal the Jones got pulled for a play or two. So why point out something as trivial as that and act like it was a great coaching move?

Because Marvin pulled Pacman from punt return, the one that Tate took for about 60 plus yards.

Here is the issue though, remember the last Playoff game vs the Chargers?

I wish this was a game where I could say I saw this coming, however I can not. I admit I honestly thought that this could be another embarrassing prime time performance. So I am very happy to be wrong. The bengals have shown that they may be a very frustrating time, however they are a good team. They have now beaten Brady, Manning, Brees, and Rodgers in the last two years.

Yep I remember that well, however why is that an issue? It's the playoffs, you are not going to have an easy game. People try to say them losing in the first round meant they were not a good team, blah, blah, blah. However unless your a team like what will be coming from the NFC South, if you make the playoffs you usually are a good team. Then if you are in the playoffs anything is possible. If it was so easy to win in the playoffs, Peyton Manning would have 5 Super Bowl rings or more by now. So let it be the Chargers or whoever it may be. Its not going to be an easy game, but will be game they can win.

If Green is hurt, where do the Bengals turn?

If Green is hurt, the Bengals will field the worst receiving corps of any team in the NFL.

What I loved about this game is that usually in prime time games once something goes wrong, it has a snowball effect and things just get worst. However in this game we still had a lot of the same mistakes we have seen in other prime time games, however instead of letting things get worst. Someone instead ended up making a play and getting things back on the right track. After the pick 6, Jeremy Hill has his big TD run. After the big kick return to start the second half for the Broncos that led to a touchdown, Adam Jones has the huge return to set up a touchdown for us. The Hill fumble could have killed them, however they bounce back from that and the defense then makes a few plays to get the ball back to the offense. Then after having to punt being up only 2 with 4 minutes to go, I am sure we all were thinking the Broncos would use all the time up and kick a field goal to win. However the defense then steps up and gets a pick 6 to seal the win.

This was definitely a complete team win. Dalton had that one pick, however overall he did what people wanted him to do and that was manage the game. I believe I heard he hit over 70% of his passes. So he didn't do anything special, but did what was needed. Then the running game, defense, and special teams all did their parts. That is how this team has to win games and what is needed to win playoff games.

Who Dey!

That will be true. Which is a shame because when healthy the Bengals would have one of the most talented group of guys to throw to.

What a game to go to!

I know a lot of people on here do not enjoy the stadium experience as much as sitting in the comfort of their homes watching, but the atmosphere last night was incredible!! (Even with the rain in the 2nd half)

I heard wrong, he hit only 65% of his passes. However besides the pick, he played exactly the type of game people wanted from him. For people saying he needs to be completing the ball down the field, well if he could accurately do that all the time then he wouldn't be just a game manager QB. People seem to go against what they said they wanted from Andy. They say they want him to be at least a game manager, however get mad when he doesn't perform like a top QB lol.

Honestly before the last two games, Dalton was having one of his best years throwing the ball down field IMO. Just look at the Pittsburgh game two weeks ago too, he was on the money. However the last two weeks he hasn't been close when throwing down field. However he has managed the game like people have said they wanted.

I was there too! I love being at the games, I have only made it to three this year including yesterday because of money issues. However I absolutely love it at games. These last four years has been a lot of fun being at the games. I sit usually in the South Endzone or South corner endzone and its always a great time and the people around me are usually great.

I had a lot of Broncos fans around me (upper South end zone), but it was still a great time, and both team's fans were respectful, yet playfully jawing. I forgot how much fun going to the game was, and I'm hoping for a win next week, and maybe I could go to a playoff game this year!
