Bengals 37 Broncos 28

How long have you had season tickets? Did you not attend any of the playoff games during the Boomer years?

Good point. Last night's game was high energy...the '88/ Jan 89 AFC Championship game was over the top. I watched Boomer and the Bengals beat the Bills from blue seats behind the visitors bench. My wife (who is pretty conservative) was 4 months pregnant with our youngest. She was so caught up in the moment that I had to physically restrain her from going over the fence on to the field with the other revelers when the game ended. My daughter still has the ticket stub, "her first Bengals game".

Only about 8 years and no.

They honored long time season ticket holders on the field before game last night. Do you know how long was required to have tickets to be honored?

Excellent point!

This was the best experience I have ever had at a Bengals game. It was unreal awesome!

For a guy who soured on the Bengals a few weeks back, you sure have been going to a lot of games lately. Are you concerned you're just getting sucked in enough for this year's looming disappointment to be the final straw?

Spindoc was telling me you were delayed meeting up with him for the Steelers game because you ran into some traffic piloting the AD Red Rocket Bandwagon Express to the stadium, or something to that effect. :D

Not sure. I have had them 35 years and did not get invited.

After reflection on last night and settling in a little, the Bengals are winning because they are controlling the line of scrimmage. Manning's arm may be and probably is not where it has been, however, he was pressured 13 times last night, especially when he gets rid of it so quickly. That is a bunch and really got him off his mark. We all know he has no mobility, so he was not setting up. The pick six was an example. His feet were not set, he threw falling back, and then does not have the arm he had at 30 to stick it in there.

The Bengals appeared to know everything he was calling and were jumping everything outside the numbers. I think they knew his arm strength, like almost everyone has not been the same since the Rams game.

I also thought Dalton made and has been making outstanding reads when they run the read option. Something is amiss with his down field throwing, also. Am I the only one concerned about Hill's fumbling. He has been outstanding, but man, that could have killed them last night.

I will also add that the atmosphere was electric. It was a great game to attend. Although at the beginning, I thought I might be a little annoyed all night.

The game last night was a great atmosphere. I was up in 232 and the Jungle was rocking. I didn't hear too much arguing between the two teams' fans (there was a good mixture around me). All the Broncos fans I talked to were pretty relaxed and complimentary of the Bengals.

As for the actual game I'd be lying if I said I didn't think "here we go again" after Dalton threw the pick 6. (Although I have no idea how that wasn't overturned, I thought the ball clearly rolled when it touched the turf). But then Hill rumbled his way 85 yards and my worries about the game started to subside. Special teams were great minus the return to start the 2nd half.

Defense did a good job getting pressure on Peyton but they still allowed some big plays. Quite a few times receivers were W I D E open. That worries me a bit against a team that has a strong armed QB (Manning is not one right now).

As for Dalton's deep passes, yes he had some bad ones but I can't say he had a ton of opportunities to go down field. The Broncos' secondary did a good job staying tight to receivers. If the Denver D allowed receivers to get as open as the Bengals D did on occasion (obviously not talking about the INTs here), I fully believe Dalton would've been throwing down field like people wanted.

Enjoy it now, Bengals fans. You've got B-2-B trips to the Confluence ahead of you. Ill be sporting Black 36 to mark the occasions.

Pretty sure if Bengals lose they go to Indy. Steelers get #3 by virtue of victory over Colts. Correct if I'm wrong, Jim.

Oh well, these things happen.

I just said I was off the bandwagon until the Bengals win at least one playoff game and maybe not even then.

I have season tickets, I paid for them, and I sure as heck am going if I paid for the tickets.

I thought about selling the Broncos' tickets but I am glad I didn't, best experience ever at PBS (second place this year was the game I got to sit with Swamprat).

And the only rocket the week I went with spindoc was his driving, oh my!!!
