JokersWild24
Deal is in place and apparently close to being final.
JokersWild24
Mavericks get: Rajon Rondo Celtics get: Brandan Wright, Jameer Nelson, Jae Crowder, future 1st Round pick, future 2nd Round pick
LIPTON BASH
No brainer . Awesome move for Dallas. PG was only weakness.
PurplePride92
All the Laker websites were saying that the Lakers were offering two first round draft picks for Rondo. Sad as a Laker fan that it didn't happen but the Western Conference just got a whole lot tougher. The Texas Circle road trip just got a whole lot worse. tcjkbt
I've always liked the Celtics. What is their long range plan to become a contender again?
mcpapa
Dallas now officially - if they weren't before - a legitimate contender to get to the conference finals.

Cats3x
I think this might make Dallas a favorite or co-favorite in the West.
HammerTime
He has a ring already...can't be that bad. He got sold for 20 cents on the dollar. That tells you something.
gametime
He has a ring already...can't be that bad. He was the 4th best player on that team, and he was still a huge distraction. Rondo is a great talent and an equally large pain in the rear end...

Him and Dirk in the PnR will be good if 2010 Rondo shows up.

To be fair that was his second year in the league then also, playing with the Big 3 his job wasn't to be the star it was to run the team which he did really well. Agree that everyone says he's a pain in the rear though.

Agree that everyone says he's a pain in the rear though. I was responding to the statement that because he had a ring he wasn't that much of a pain. Quite the contrary, as he was still a pain on a team with 3 Hall of Fame players and a likely HoF coach that had a pretty strong playing career as well. If those four guys had trouble keeping him in line....
tcjkbt
Serious question-since I'm not an avid NBA follower: What makes Rondo such a pain in the rear end? Don't his teammates like to be on the receiving end of assists?
