All the Laker websites were saying that the Lakers were offering two first round draft picks for Rondo. Sad as a Laker fan that it didn't happen but the Western Conference just got a whole lot tougher. The Texas Circle road trip just got a whole lot worse.

Veteran coach and veteran team might be able to mask the awfulness of Rondo the person. Him and Dirk in the PnR will be good if 2010 Rondo shows up.

To be fair that was his second year in the league then also, playing with the Big 3 his job wasn't to be the star it was to run the team which he did really well.

I was responding to the statement that because he had a ring he wasn't that much of a pain. Quite the contrary, as he was still a pain on a team with 3 Hall of Fame players and a likely HoF coach that had a pretty strong playing career as well. If those four guys had trouble keeping him in line....

Serious question-since I'm not an avid NBA follower: What makes Rondo such a pain in the rear end? Don't his teammates like to be on the receiving end of assists?
