He was the 4th best player on that team, and he was still a huge distraction. Rondo is a great talent and an equally large pain in the rear end...

 

Veteran coach and veteran team might be able to mask the awfulness of Rondo the person. Him and Dirk in the PnR will be good if 2010 Rondo shows up.

To be fair that was his second year in the league then also, playing with the Big 3 his job wasn't to be the star it was to run the team which he did really well.

 

Agree that everyone says he's a pain in the rear though.

I was responding to the statement that because he had a ring he wasn't that much of a pain. Quite the contrary, as he was still a pain on a team with 3 Hall of Fame players and a likely HoF coach that had a pretty strong playing career as well. If those four guys had trouble keeping him in line....
