So the attempt at keeping guns from those who are deemed unworthy to own them is a futile one?

As long as polive asked permission and got permission for entering private property u have no problem with what they did. If they entered private property without a warrant I do have a problem.

If it was your property, you can have all the problems you want, but if I allow the police to search my property for someone, that's none of your business.

FWIW I think anything that they found not pertinent to finding the brothers would have been deemed inadmissible in court. So if they walk through your yard looking for terrorist bombers on the lose and see that you've got 3 pot plants growing back there, it would not be admissible in court.

You think we can overtake out military with semi-autos and revolvers?

Do you think the full force of our military would obey orders to take up arms against our citizens protecting a right guaranteed by the constitution? Especially given how unpopular gun control is amongst members of our military? I would wager that a large number, possibly a majority, would take their weapons and join the public.

You think the military will disobey orders if the constitution is changed?

Again, if it happens it will happen slowly over years. People seem all to content anymore to give up freedoms for the sake of a false sense of security and safety.

Very outdated.
Oh well, hell, lets just do away with it.

Yes. Make a new one.

Yes. Make a new one.

This is the kind of attitude that makes me say that I think someday in the near future we will see the 2nd Amendment die and guns outlawed.

Seriously? You think that's gonna happen in the near future?

There are very energetic efforts to call a Constitutional Convention. And the number of states required to approve was not a vast number.

Obviously if that convention is called the 2nd Amendment is toast.

Heaven help us if there were to be a new constitution written today...

I haven't read the thread, but gun rights are much more important.

If we get a majority thinking that way? Hell yes. Swampland is all we'd have left. You, PP92 and RM can be smug and scoff all you want, but that kind of thinking is not a good thing for America or for freedom.

I actually do have swampland.

Seriously.
