I'm wondering if BGP feels the same way as the respondents in this new Pew Research Poll?

Gun Rights Outweigh Gun Control In New Pew Survey : The Two-Way : NPR

For the first time in at least 20 years, significantly more Americans say it's more important to protect the right to own guns than it's more important to control gun ownership, according to the Pew Research Center.

The survey found that more than half of Americans (52 percent) sided with gun rights compared to the 46 percent who favored gun control.

We will never live in a country where you can't have guns.

Since I believe the above is true, controlling gun ownership is more important, IMO.

I think it's a false dichotomy. But I'll leave it at that and get out here. :lol2:

Controlling gun ownership, however, this will never be an issue that can be consistently enforced. Let's remember that it is typically not the registered gun owners that are murdering with their guns, but the guns from the street that are causing the real issues

So the attempt at keeping guns from those who are deemed unworthy to own them is a futile one?

A crook will always be able to get a gun. Always!

Never say never. So many on the left think the Constitution is just an outdated old piece of paper.

See illegal drugs.

I am confident in saying never.

So you are asking me what is more important a right granted to me by the constitution or the governments ability to restrict or take away that right.

I'm more scared how 46% of this country voted.

I am confident in saying never.

You are correct or we see the next civil war.

I am confident in saying never.
For now, sure. 10 or 20 years down the road, who knows. The left really wants gun confiscation, not gun control.
You are correct or we see the next civil war.
You think we can overtake out military with semi-autos and revolvers?
