December 5, 201411 yr Get ready for the next one! Rookie NYPD cop texted union before calling 911 after accidentally shooting innocent man - AOL.com Some people don't deserve to wear the badge. Plain and simple!
December 5, 201411 yr I would be pretty defensive too if I wasn't doing anything illegal... So you'd rather get in a physical altercation with the police rather than let them put you in handcuffs and then look like idiots when they have to release you because you're not breaking the law? At which point you may have a shot at a lawsuit. I think I could swallow my pride long enough to let this all play out.

December 5, 201411 yr I'd prefer not to be cuffed for no reason... I agree, I don't want to be cuffed either (Ihave been and didn't like it at all)...but once a police officer feels they have cause to cuff you or arrest you...resistance isn't your best bet and is never going to work out well for you. Best bet is to beat the charge and go after them in court.
December 5, 201411 yr I'd prefer not to be cuffed for no reason... Obviously, I'm a cracker. So take this for what it's worth. Says there's a case of mistaken identity. Someone phoned in that a handsome, slightly built man wearing a red shirt committed a crime, or was suspected to. The cops approach me and ask questions. Since I fit the description and am in the vicinity they want to cuff me and take me in. No way in hell am I resisting in any way. While I'm allowing them to cuff me I will voice my concern but there's no chance they will think there's a reason they need to shoot me, taze me, grab me around the neck...etc. Why is that always overlooked?

I'm not over looking it. Resisting arrest is stupid, and I'm not saying I would. At the same time, resisting arrest shouldn't be a death sentence... We are at the mercy of the police, regardless of how wrong they may be, and I just don't agree with that.
