Protesters shutting down 1-75 in Cincy

So you're in favor of breaking the law in favor of a protest?

If first amendment rights support it how is it breaking the law if it is peaceful?

The 2nd amendment says that, depending on your interpretation, that civilians have the right to bear arms. But there is a law that prevents felons from owning arms. So based on your logic you would agree that felons have the right to bear arms?

Yes. If we are going to hold up the constitution as not being dated then absolutely. Guns for everybody!!!!

I am just trying to follow your logic, which is proving to be quite a task with all of the holes in it.

Really broad brush there to compare gang bangers with protestors. At the same time, this case in Ferguson has done nothing but highlight the huge gap that there is between blacks and whites. We'll never be equal and we do good just to co-exist. We definitely don't understand one another nor do we care about each other's perspective. Worst of all, we've all taught our kids the exact same thing so the cycle will continue.

We have all failed.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with you. Neither side is willing to listen to the other side's issues or even stop to understand where the other side is coming from. So the cycle will continue over and over and over as it has for such a long time. I fear for the future of this country. A race war is coming. Mark my words.

Not sure why not.

When you get your voting card back you should also be able to own your gun. There is probably a case there but felons do not attract the most help - as the voting issue shows.

If you want to debate if a felon should or shouldn't be able to own a firearm, that's fine. But, as it stands now, a convicted felon is not allowed to own a firearm.

Since when is running over people that are peacefully protesting that are in your way allowed by the law? That is what I am comparing to the looting mindset.

The Supreme Court has made it clear what areas are protected for free speech and what aren't. An interstate Is NOT A Traditional Public Forum. It would not be protected.

If first amendment rights support it how is it breaking the law if it is peaceful?

This is not protected by the First Amendment. In a park...yes; on a sidewalk...yes; on a freeway NO.

Just exercising what the first amendment says. Nowhere in the first amendment does it say, "except on the interstate".

Nowhere does it say you can't yell "fire" in a crowded theater but you can't. Beside the fact that you're discounting that it is already illegal to be on the interstate in the first place. All for people being able to protest and for the Constitution but this argument is silly.

I'm not perfect. Only Jesus is.

Either way, whether they are there in the freeway or not it still doesn't excuse the mindset to just plow over them.

I don't think there will be a race war will happen in my lifetime. At least not a violent one in my lifetime but I could definitely see one happening at some point in the future. We're getting closer and closer to the point of people having to pick a side and then cutting off communication with the other side.

The future of our country is screwed for sure. No doubt about that.

I totally agree with you but they are putting themselves and others in danger. Heck, on 75, in that area, just stand on an overpass or legally off the freeway with signs and you'll cause a traffic jam with rubberneckers.

Country is fine if people will just stop letting the media control us.
