Remember last year the Holmes coach nominated his center and put Scruggs in the group that gets voted on and he did not make it.

They aren't all stats based, if that were the case Armstrong for Cooper would be 1st team RB since he has the most rushing yards.

 

I will stand by what I said. For Highlands to only have 2 players on the first team is an absolute joke IMO. Hoge should be first team, no questions asked. Abner is a first team player as well and Dougherty should be the first team kicker.

I agree. I think Hoge should be 1st team also, but I also think Armstrong should also and he does lead in rushing yet isn't on 1st team which shows stats isn't what put them all on 1st team. Armstrong has 1666 yards rushing, show me anyone with more.

This is what happens. :laugh: They vote for who they are familiar with. AND whether we like it or not, there are several people that just don't like Highlands. It's sad for our kids that someone would place another player over someone else because of where they play, but some can't take emotions out of it. But our kids know what the real prize is!

 

I have to say I'm surprised about the HHS numbers for sure! And Hoge not on first team is the funniest thing I think I've ever seen!!! I've seen the same thing happen in other NKY sports too.

You could make that argument, but Sergio Gutierrez from Lloyd is pretty damn good.

TCA should def be 1st string. I have seen Hollifield obviously but he is a very good kicker not sure how JT Wise didn't make Punter, have only seen 1 or 2 "bad" kicks and they still went over 30 yds.

I would like to know touch back percentage. For me, that is what makes a high school kicker the most valuable...making the other team start from the 20 with regularity.

JOAT, the individuals are nice for the resume but nothing speaks more volumes than the Program Trophy...

 

How many times have you heard guys say they would trade all the accolades in the world for the the big one and this is at all levels...:thumb:
