I look at it like this. Hoge has a D1 scholly at BYU and is being recruited as a QB.

 

Moore is a great QB and is being recruited as an athlete from what I've heard from the Dixie people.

No knock on Moore at all. If I couldn't get Hoge, I would take Moore in a heartbeat.

If your a Soph. and starting at DB,LB or safety for the Birds, your a stud no doubt about it. I know it's only about seniors, but, use a little logic. Abner was a huge loss this year for the Birds. I hope he is doing well. #WINFORTHEM. :thumb:

My only beef is do you really need to have the same kids on both offense and defense? Kids enjoy this recognition, expand it. All it does is give people like us something to talk about. Shouldn't a first team offense recognition be sufficient? Does the same kid need to occupy a D slot as well?

 

I would love to see some numbers of other kids. Is there a Honorable Mention group?

Drew was a great runner, he has a very strong arm and can make a lot of throws but the accuracy just wasn't there or the decision making imo to be a great passer. Hoge had it all. If Hoge wasn't as good of a runner as he is then I think it would be a closer comparison due to Drews great running ability, but both being great runners you have to look at who the better passer is also and Hoge clearly is that.

Could point to several players. Quentin Marksberry, Chris Hicks and Trent Kincaid from SK. Trent lead the area in int's. The two RBs from Walton. #4 from Cov Cath. The list goes on, which is why I don't understand the double entries. I followed the link and looked at the all district selections. What a joke those are. Cannot begin to explain that criteria.
