Can you imagine if Cov Cath would have pulled it out? We would have had 3 state semi-finalists along a 1.5-2.0 mile stretch of Dixie Highway. That would have been unreal. I would challenge to find that occurring ANYWHERE. Oh, well. It was a neat thought while it lasted. It is not only a testimonial to NKY football but also to the talent level contained in a few neighborhoods fairly close together.

 

and kids from Cov Cath could be playing for the other 2!

When was the last time one area had 5 teams wihin a 15 mile radius playing in the state semi finals?

All home grown. None live in Ohio. Have no idea if any have moved from Ohio in their lifetime, but there are no kids on any team that drive across the river for school. That is a myth.

why would any kid from Ohio want to play in ky? The GCL is about as good as high school

football gets.

 

Cooper er for instance is a closed enrollment school district so you go there if you live there period.

The "homegrown" word on here is tricky, be careful how you use it.

My comment was not intended to be funny and certainly not disrespectful to the kids, IMO northern KY football is about as good as it gets in ky, football is football you line up and go after it thats the only important thing, now that being said for a number of years that has been the talk around the state, fair or not...I do kinda think it goes to the old public vs private debate. for me i just love football
