Yes for us....I amended my post to clarify the weekend after Thanksgiving day. However, I am going to have to get a lot more motivated than I am right now.
November 18, 201411 yr I'm a bit of a Scrooge and I just don't see the point of all the decorations, etc. Just a waste of time and money if you ask me. I always drag my feet in getting the tree/decorations down for my wife to decorate. I always go to the football finals the weekend after Thanksgiving and generally I'll get that stuff out the day before I leave so she can do it while I'm gone.

November 18, 201411 yr Went and bought the Christmas tree last night from Hobby Lobby. Girlfriend had it up, decorated, and on Instagram within three hours.
November 18, 201411 yr Whenever the lovely lady decides (same as PP92 whose post I saw after I went back to read the thread). Usually, sometime during the week of Thanksgiving, but I got some hints that this Friday may be the day. I wish she would just go ahead and say it.

November 19, 201411 yr We start the Saturday morning after Thanksgiving. I'm responsible for getting everything out of the attic, anything heavy, anything that requires a ladder, anything that requires nails or tools, and putting all the boxes away at the end. We usually finish sometime Sunday evening and drink a bottle of Christmas spiced wine.
November 19, 201411 yr We always go with a live tree. We are not ones to start thinking about Christmas in November. We'll usually go get a tree between the 15th and 18th. However, we follow the 12 days of Christmas and do not take it down until about the 2nd week of January.
