Not sure about offers, I do know Ohio, Cincinnati, Miami (OH) and Utah ST had shown interest.

Beau had his sights set on BYU. Most other schools knew that was his choice.

 

It was up to BYU to make the move. If that wouldn't have panned out and the recruiting opened up, MANY schools would have come calling.

Said it once, I will say it again. The kid is an escape artist like Johnny Football. Has a 6th sense in the pocket with his eyes down field. For the Highlands oldies, has a QB ever been this important to a team before? I can't think of one except for Gino. Hoge has been the offense at times.

Congrats to Beau and family. It's been unbelievable watching him this year.

Beau is a great kid and a great athlete and BYU is getting a good one:thumb:

Beau's cousin lives in Idaho and will be going to Notre Dame next year to play for the Irish.

AWESOME! Congrats young man. I lived in Salt Lake City for many years and have driven to Provo many time to watch BYU play. Great college atmosphere. Just out of curiosity, Is the young man's family Mormons?

Congrats to Beau on heading out West. I played with Merril at Idaho State and I know he and his uncle Marty are very happy and proud. He will do very well at BYU as I believe their style of offense suits him very well. Best of luck and glad to see another NKY student-athlete make it to the next level.

Next question will be does he do mission work before he attends school @ BYU. I see where the QB for BYU that was injured earlier this year was 24. Curious if mission work is an option or mandatory.

It is a voluntary though, if you choose to attend a school like BYU, I'm not sure that it is completely "voluntary." It takes a special kid to go there. The Honor Code is tough. I really respect his decision.
