November 4, 201411 yr I want to pick Bama (Roll Tide) but if it was my $100 I'd go FSU...today! Bama has a lot ahead of them to even get to the Final Four, let alone win it...@LSU (Night Game), Miss St, and Auburn. If Bama makes the Finals against FSU, I'd take Bama!

November 5, 201411 yr ..... I think it would be cool to do this really. We all put $100 in and the pot goes to the person (or people) that picked the winner. Would have to be locked by Friday with so many great games this weekend.
November 5, 201411 yr Author Cool thread topic. * Mississippi State -- not convinced they can stop two of the top 4 teams in America in back-to-back games. Heck, not sure they can stop people even before then. * Alabama -- not convinced they are good enough yet, I'm really not. I like them, and root for them, but just don't trust in their ability to beat great teams yet. * Oregon -- I want to say Oregon, I really do, but I just don't trust them. * Auburn -- don't think they'll beat Bama in the Iron Bowl. * Notre Dame -- I think they may sneak into the playoff, but in no way do I think they'll be able to beat two high level teams to win the whole deal. * Florida State -- this is where I should go, and they always find a way to win....but I think at some point you can't come from behind every time, you can't keep digging out of holes. So.... I'd put $100 on Michigan State. I loathe Michigan State, but I think they are complete and balanced enough to win, regardless of the opponent. I was just thinking about placing that exact bet but got to thinking....I have no clue who I'd take. Even the favorites will net you $500 right now. I guess I would go with Alabama right now. FSU, Oregon, and Auburn are hard to turn down though.
November 5, 201411 yr Key to the thread are the words "right now," in the first post. Florida St. and it's not close. They clearly have the easiest road left to the playoffs, and you can't win if your team doesn't get invited. All the SEC schools have too much road to pave just to get to the playoffs. Couldn't bet any of them at this point. Heck, I'd take Kansas St. before I'd take any of them today. K-State still has some work to do, but they are my dark horse. Once the final four is finalized, I'd bet an SEC team, and if Bama is there it would most likely be the Tide. But not today.

November 11, 201411 yr Alabama is probably the best. Florida State might be the safest if you want to hedge out later, but they've lived on the edge all year and I don't see them taking it.
November 11, 201411 yr Don't think Bama has enough on O. I think Pac 12 is best conference overall, an I think The Ducks will win the Pac 12, so I will hesitantly pick them to win it. Just think Mariotta is best leader in college football.
