Committee of 12 releasing a Top 25 is the dumbest thing

Featured Replies

Why do a Top 25 now? All that matters is the final ranking Top 4 teams.

Why slot teams now and then open your committee up to question when the final rankings come out?

Just meet among yourselves as the season progresses..................or do away with the Committee and bring back the BCS rankings.

The SEC with three of the top four, never thought I'd see that happen.

Mississippi gets beat and they are still top 4.

That's all anyone has to know about this committee.

I think everyone on that list got beat but two teams.

It will shuffle around no doubt. The sec will be lucky to get more than one team in after they are done beating up on each other, imo. I will say this is the reason they need at least an 8 team playoff though. With only 4 teams invited there will be too many question marks. 16 teams woukd be to many imo, 8 would be a good compromise.

So a controversial call at the end of the Florida St/ND game means the difference in ND being the #2 and #10??? I am NOT an ND fan but that does not seem right to me. No need to get all worked up now though. The season is barely half over.

How many of those lost their last game?

I am surprised they are in there but what difference does it make when they lose when you are going to be a subjective committee? In the past it mattered a whole bunch. I think it matters who you lose to, where, and how you lost. ND shocks me where they are.

They should make it 8 teams and put the top 4 from the SEC vs. the top 4 from elsewhere. That way we would get to see 3 more top-level SEC games each season.

I get what you're saying but it wasn't a controversial call, it was the correct call.

That actually makes sense, as I said before it's the SEC bowl +1. Your method is +4.

I definitely think it was the right call too. It did create controversy though...
