...I do apologize for all the mis-types and spellings.. Fat fingers and auto correct the blame for that... And for me... If they win another State Championship it will be just that... Another HHS ring... (that the kid with the green socks will want a green stone in). And if it was so much of a "back in my day" statement, why do these other successfull programs feel the need to show some type of unity and discipline.

 

As for the bike riding... When it was required... You had a bike stored at someone's house in town and still rode to practice if you lived out of town. We had players who lived in either Southgate, or below Grand avenue that were cutoff when building 471 who had bikes on the other side of the , bridge to be, and they rode from there.

 

Last I checked the school colors were Blue and White.... Not black, green, purple, grey, or even camouflage ... With the exception of Breast Cancer awareness games pink.... Wear the right colors...

 

I know this is just a rant but "Back in my day" the we still seemed to be able to win AND learn some lessons along the way...

Actually, the whole "uniform uniforms" topic makes me wonder. I've noticed it more on the basketball court (not talking about HHS here) more than on the gridiron.

 

Is it a big deal? I remember posting several years ago about a (basketball) team that came out with any number of crazy shooting sleeves, headbands, different shoes and sock colors/lengths.

 

I blasted that team a bit for what I considered to be a lack of discipline. Am I just another card-carrying AARP old fogey who can't accept change, or is this a real issue?
