Congrats to UK. After the flea flicker and the sequence when it went:

SC - long drive TD

UK - 6 & out

SC - long drive TD

UK - 3 & out

SC - long drive TD

To put SC back up 14, I didn't expect UK to answer. But answer they did. The excitement is infectious and should be ridden to as many recruits and commitments as they can get. Stoops has things going in the right direction.

That said, Spurrier obviously outsmarted himself. Rather than doing the safe, boring, proven, clock-eating, crowd neutralizing thing (RUN THE BALL), he can't help himself but throw the ball around. Notably, an interception at the end of the 1st half to allow a FG and change the game from 20-14 OR 24-14 to 17-17 and all the momentum on UK's side. Also, obviously, throwing the ball 2x in a row on the drive where the score is tied -- the 2nd resulting in a pick 6.

After the 1st 2 drives of the game and the 3 drive surrounding the 2 UK punts, why would you do anything but run the ball? Unless a penalty or loss of yards got you off sequence with down & distance, run the ball.

Finally, Spurrier says in the halftime interview "We really got to handle their Wildcat formation better in the 2nd half." Yeah, some great halftime adjustments there for the "ol' ball coach."

Honest criticism is not "ragging," but anyway. Just because you don't care for the source doesn't make it less relevant.

Doesn't make it honest criticism either.

When I said we'd really regret losing that Florida game, I didn't realize I was talking about keeping us out of the SEC title game lol.

Does anyone have a link to the post game interviews? I heard they were pretty good

Slow 'er down a mite pilgrim! :D

He's working his way to at least 3-3.5 mill right now. I think Michigan would go 4-4.5. Is there a sexier up and comer right now?

May not be a thing to it but I have heard Florida along with Michigan. I do agree with that U.K. had better come up with some $$$.

Then again, all of this talk is after just One upset win. U.K. football fans (including me) aren't used to "upsetting" anyone, or even winning over 4 games in a season. :idunno:

For any UK fan, how this doesn't give you chills I will never know

As was my point in my earlier post . :lol2:

UK has already had one coach (I think it was Morris) snatched away (I assume due to money), I really don't want it to happen again. I may make sense for Barnhart to go ahead and start the negotiations to extend and enrich Brook's contract. Even if the details are not finalized till the end of the season, it will make it clear to Brooks and schools looking at Brooks that UK is serious about keeping him.

Brooks has been gone a while :lol2:

One rung at a time, baby. Death Valley's the next one. We'll talk more after that one. You guys should pray it's not a night game.

Doesn't matter. No way LSU is losing that game after the beating they took this weekend. Not to mention it seems like every time UK has a big win they lay a fat egg the next week. Bad timing for UK.

But "the next week" is this Saturday, against ULMonroe, not LSU. UK may have enough time to focus between now & then.

UK fans need to enjoy the win but take a deep breath. They will still struggle to get to 6 wins and make a bowl. Don't be surprised if they only win one more. I'm not saying they can't win more, just don't be surprised or let down if they don't. This team is making strides but still really isn't over the hump yet.
