If UK plays in a bowl other than the Music City Bowl, that means they've graduated beyond being a 6-6 team that got there with schedule tricks such as loading up against the UT-Martins of the world. It means they actually won a few SEC games for a change. It means you've made progress as a football program. Not sure why this is so hard to figure out.

It's not hard to figure out, I believe most can acknowledge that Stoops and UK are ahead of the curve, in terms of building a sustainable program.

You need to go and re-read these threads. I already credited UK for overcoming some big obstacles and winning games they would not have in the past. Big milestones.

 

You want UK to be relevant, right? Well, there's more milestones to reach — winning on the road in conference, going to a bowl that means something. I don't know why you're struggling so much with this concept other than the fact that you don't like the fact that it's coming from somebody who's not a Kentucky fan. I got news for you — you have to impress people beyond the borders of the Bluegrass to truly graduate to relevancy. You're making progress.

#15 Texas A&M and #23 Missouri are the 2 teams South Carolina has lost to other than UK. Not sure why you want to call this team mediocre.

That Missouri/South Carolina result is puzzling. Either that or the Missouri/Indiana result is puzzling. I honestly can't decide.

 

No matter what, it certainly appears that the SEC East is an even pool of mediocrity, which means any one of them is ripe for the picking by an improving UK team. The meat of the schedule begins on Oct. 18.

 

Stoops can coach and it was obvious he was building something; the speed with which he's turned things around is astonishing.
