I'm leaning Harris for now. I think Alexander's post high school career makes him the easy answer but I'm still waiting for a good reason to convince me to say Alexander. I haven't seen that reason yet.

Frisk was one heck of a back. He had unbelievable power, but also had the speed to run right past you on the outside. For what its worth my vote would go to Alexander. However, I would love to watch Harris play just to compare the two.

I would think a lot of Harris's yards came against weak teams, I would have to go with Alexander for a career, and Reese Macshara for a single season.

It's too hard to figure out who played against better competition. How can we tell how strong a team is in 1993 compared to 2014? That's impossible.

 

 

I'd take Rees Macshara 2009 all day as well. That was a special year that was a whole lot of fun to watch.

From second hand information and take this for what it's worth, I have a friend who is good friends with a coach from a top SEC school who told him last spring that Harris will be considered the best running back in KY high school history after his Senior season.

2009 was a special season for Reese one that I'll not soon forget. I'll wait till after Harris plays Against Boyle at seasons end before I change my opinion about his stats or Alexander.

I saw Joe Casey play several times, he was big,fast and very powerfull. He was 1st team all USA Today along with Peterson. Never played a down of college ball........

Alexander is the greatest football player to ever play in our state. He displayed more attributes as a runner than Harris. Great vision and patience. He ran with speed and he had more power and yards after contact than anyone else. It's not as close as many think it is.

 

This reminds me of the MJ vs LeBron comparison. James is fresh on your mind so it's sometimes easy to forget how great Mike was. All of the growth and intangibles that made him who he was. Ask yourself this. With social media, the Internet and non stop coverage how big would Shaun ' s status be if he played in this Era with all of these things in play ?

Paul Hornung.

Hornung was a QB in high school and college. Didn't play RB until he got to the Packers. He was drafted as a QB, but moved to RB that is why he wore 5.
