I think this game will be a blowout in favor of the Bengals.

Feeling very good about my prediction now that Burfict and Jones are very unlikely to play.

I think the Bengals should win. Gillette is a tough place to play and I'm sure Brady is going to be highly motivated to win after losing how they did to the Chiefs, but haven't been impressed by them enough to be convinced that they can. Anything can happen though, nothing's ever guaranteed.

This week's puzzling line is the Patriots and Bengals. It's had a ton of movement and no one has became more than a heads up pick or a -1 favorite. That's concerning if you are a Bengals fan.

Like I said last week with the Vikings/Falcons line... if you see a line that makes you scratch your head and think, "how did anyone come up with that?", then there's a good chance that someone knows something you don't and that it might be a sucker bet. The public isn't always wrong when it comes to some of those things, but the public is also usually all over teams who perform well and all against teams who likewise perform poorly in nationally televised games the previous week.

The Bengals are coming off a Bye (also a big deal in NFL games), and the Pats are coming off of a poor showing on National TV. You would think the public is betting up the Bengals, but the line is just lingering around 1. What does that say???

Heard on the radio yesterday that the Pats have won something like 32 straight home games against AFC teams....

That must be just regular season.
I think I said Cincy 28-19 in another thread. I'll stick with that.

23-17 Bengals. 2 Gronk td's. 2 Gio td's and 3 Nugent fg's

Ring ring.

Ring ring.

HELLO?

Hi, Cincinnati - this is your wake up call.

Bengals have played/beaten no one so far. Had to kick 5 FG's against the Ravens because they could not get into the end zone for most of the game. Atlanta clearly not great this year. Ditto Tennessee.

Pats by 2 TD's or more.

I'll say 1 TD, but the 'Gals are not winning tonight.

On paper, the Bengals should win. How often does that happen on prime time though?

From a gambling stand point, everything points to NE. Until the Bengals prove everyone wrong in this type of set up, I'll take NE.

Unfortunatly the Bengals have 2 things going against them.

Marvin's records after a bye and primetime games.

hopefully they can overcome both tonight

Not playing like this they won't.
