Any doctors on here?

Featured Replies

Here is the rundown:

I have been experiencing a feeling of my heart beat pounding harder than usual. At times accompanied with light headedness or a "low blood sugar like" headache. It's very periodic and not always. EKG came back normal. Blood work normal except I have a low iron count.

I don't know for sure, but it seems like it happens after I eat more often than other times.

I do have GI issues but they don't seem to be occurring simultaneously.

Any thought on what it could possibly be?

We have a couple of dentists on here but they are not real doctors, please see this video:

And I have no idea on your issue but I am sure you will get plenty of opinions.

Does this mean we have to start calling a certain someone "Daddy"

If anything happens to you, the guru can give you mouth to mouth.

Have you actually monitored your sugar? I'm a fairly severe diabetic, but I haven't had a single headache since the sugar has been under control.

Curiously, the symptoms seem to mimic those experienced during orgasm.

Does your family have any history of diabetes? papa is right.

Fasting blood sugar test is pretty simple.

You remember those symptoms from 25 years ago?

What are your B12 levels????

Starting in April I was feeling my heart beat pounding harder than usual, headaches, and really tired. Then one day in late June I thought I was having a heart-attack. Went to the ER and come to find out my hemoglobin level was 6 (normal is 13-16), the ER doctor told me he was shocked I was still alive. :scared: My heart was pumping twice has fast to circulate what little blood I had in my body. I had to get 4 pints of blood and come to find out I have Pernicious Anemia.

Pernicious Anemia is a type of vitamin B12 anemia. The body needs vitamin B12 to make red blood cells. You get this vitamin from eating foods such as meat, poultry, shellfish, eggs, and dairy products. A special protein, called intrinsic factor (IF), helps your intestines absorb vitamin B12. This protein is released by cells in the stomach. When the stomach does not make enough intrinsic factor, the intestine cannot properly absorb vitamin B12. A normal B12 level is between 200-900, mine was 49. Besides taking a B12 supplement I have to get a B12 shot every two weeks....for the rest of my life!

I guess looks can be deceiving, then. :jump:
