September 16, 201412 yr 2-0. Probably most realistic reasons to think they have a good team. Can't reach 85%. I have to admit as fans, we are now the ones that suck!!! The home experience is 100 time better than the stadium experience. This is going to be a problem that will only get worse for the NFL. This has very little to do with with "fan support" IMO. People want to watch multiples games/track fantasy/gamble etc... Plus it's also pretty expensive for most to attend a game.
September 16, 201412 yr I love going and and have for 35 years. I realize there are problems with some fans occasionally and in some areas, however, we rarely have had issues around where I sit. I do understand the cost has to be a detriment for many. Tix are expensive and all refreshments are, also. Although I do understand the frustration with the Browns and the NFL. If that really is the case then I don't understand why you watch on tv. That's where most of the $$ really come from. I haven't looked, but I bet tv ratings were not down in Week 2. Even with all the negative "pub" leading up to it.
September 16, 201412 yr This makes me happy. Makes it more likely that I won't have to go to a bar to watch my Patriots steamroll the Raiders. Better be making plans for that bar trip. The Cincy area will almost certainly be getting the Ratbirds-Browns game on CBS (assuming the blackout is in place).
September 16, 201412 yr I think the issue is two-fold, one, this is a hangover from all the playoff losses and two, like mentioned above, the in home experience is awesome. I want red zone inside the stadium, not more and more advertisements. Also, the free wireless knocked me off of it and then wouldn't allow me to connect again after the first quarter. Another failure and they all add up.

Could not get a connection the entire game. I am going to Sunday and was hoping the issues would have been resolved.

Could not get a connection the entire game. I am going to Sunday and was hoping the issues would have been resolved. I gave up on it. It worked for about the first quarter and I tested it by sending some photos to friends of game action. Then I got into the game, realized I had been kicked off the network, tried to reconnect and nothing so I gave up. Hopefully they get it working right for everyone this week.
September 16, 201412 yr Some teams are going to have to take a hard look at their costs. If you can't sell out consistently you better start adjusting prices.
September 16, 201412 yr Football stadiums were built too large for the most part in the last 20 years. They thought the demand was there to consistently sell out 65,000-70,000 seat stadiums. Meanwhile baseball went from 55,000 bowls to 42,000 ballparks.
September 17, 201412 yr Some teams are going to have to take a hard look at their costs. If you can't sell out consistently you better start adjusting prices. This is what I enjoy about non sell out games. Scalpels have a lot less power in holding to their ridiculous asking prices, you can get a very good deal on tickets just before game time, if you have a family it's a great deal.

My wife and I had the wi-fi the entire game. It worked great with no issues. So I haven't had the "dealing with the drunk idiots," and my wi-fi worked perfectly. Lucky guy I am.
September 17, 201412 yr 2-0. Probably most realistic reasons to think they have a good team. Can't reach 85%. I have to admit as fans, we are now the ones that suck!!! Agreed! For years people said they didn't want to give money to brown because he wasnt trying to put a winning team together.Well he is still the owner but he has put together a good team for us to get behind. Yeah the playoff win hasnt come. However there probably are 25 other fan bases that would love to trade us and have what we have had the last five years. Having a team four out of the last five years in the playoffs and three straight. Now a team if they stay healthy is a team everyone now truly sees is a good team and could make a super run this year. So I hope all the people who only dont attend because of brown get over it because we do have a team that we all have been wanting. Now if people dont have the money I understand because that is the same boat I am in now.
September 17, 201412 yr I don't mind going some but usually enjoy the home experience so much more thanks to Directv.
September 17, 201412 yr Though they don't want to admit it. Gambling and fantasy football is what makes the NFL so popular.
