Actually friend, you have no idea how much it costs me for my check up. The check up itself may not cost anything, but the lab work, tests and procedures as a result of the check up sure do. And the medicine perscribed, etc. After all is said and done, from the free checkup I had, I'll have spent well over 750 dollars on the procedures and about 200 on the medicine out of my pocket.

 

With my previous insurance, I'd have spent max 400 plus maybe a 10 copay on the medicine.

 

I am well educated and form my own opinions. I don't need anyone to tell me that ACA is a heap of crap. I've seen it impact me, my coworkers, and friends/family.

All a matter of how one wishes to spin the story . I could say TRUTHFULLY , the Health Care expenses of my corporation ( of which I am owner and CEO ) went way down under Obamacare this year. But Oh the details -- 2 of the 3 employees that i was paying 100% of the coverage dropped my coverage and went on Medicaid . So I'm no longer directly paying their premium . My HC cost went down , Obama is awesome .. :no:

Perhaps you should listen to people that aren't Obama cheerleaders and stop reading the Obamacare handbook of Utopian Dreams because it seems like the vast majority of people on this site, people I know, myself, what I see on the news, what I read from multiple outlets, the CBO and on and on and on.....you seem to be in the extreme minority in your opinion of Obamacare .

Obvious, like me and every one but TA and TTP, you are ignorant and simply do not understand your insurance costs. If you did you would realize that there is no way you aren't spend more and you would see how great ACA is.

Actually, the problem lies with folks that would tell Obama how good the crap sandwich he just fed them was. Exactly like you and TA are doing with the The Unaffordable Care Act.

Mixed bag for me. Premiums stayed the same, but deductibles went up, and worse my prescription plan went from nice copays to needing to reach my deductible before the cheaper cost kicks in. My BP med went from $25 to $175 for a $30 day supply. Epipens went from $70 to $350. For a relatively healthy person that needs a few scripts, this has been a bad thing.

When Obama goes out of office, this "grand" illegal scheme will be dismantled piece by piece by a disgruntled public.

The irony of it all is that there will be Obama/AHCA apologists who will cry that it's all a Republican propaganda issue. And therein lies the problem.
