Which cell phone provider do you use? And do you like them?

I'm currently on Verizon and am going to switch to either T-Mobile or Sprint this Friday. I cannot decide who I'm going with.

I use At&T and I haven't had any issues with them at all. Ben with AT&T for about 4-5 years. Seems like a lot of people have issues with AT&T and don't like them. I guess it's a case-by-case thing.

Verizon

Was with AT&T for a long time until a few years back, and my with my new job..they just didn't have the service.

Verizon seems to be a little bit pricier (talking a few bucks a month here in the grand scheme), but one thing about them....If I don't have service, I don't even go asking if anybody else around me does bc I already know that answer.

I have been with Verizon for the past two years and I have no problem at all. I know of only two dead spots, halfway down the cut in the hill in NKY, and at the bottom of Horse Branch going up to St. E's.

Before that I had T-Mobile for about two years or three, as I had to switch from Sprint when I started going over to Eastern Europe, as I needed a phone that you could use a SIM card over there, and Sprint did not have them at the time.

Before T-Mobile I had Sprint for about 8 years, I had no issues with them at the time, but as I stated above, when I started going over to Eastern Europe, as I needed a phone that you could use a SIM card over there, and Sprint did not have them at the time.

BUT, just over two years ago I wanted an new iPhone, and there was some other reason that I forget, and I switched from T-Mobile to Sprint, I was with Sprint for about 5 weeks. When I switched back to Sprint they told me that all I had to do was call CS and they will set up my phone so I could use it overseas, wrong! Just over 4 weeks later when I checked on the overseas usage I was told you have to be with Sprint for at least a year to be able to use your phone overseas. I talked to so many people at Sprint, I had two store reps on tape saying they thought all I had to do was call CS. I also had one CS rep from their international department saying she wished they would get the word out to the stores as she has at least 2 of these calls a week about the same issue.

I talked to over a dozen Sprint people total with no success, they could no cancel my account without an early termination fee, even though it was their fault. Then I realized, there is an "out" clause if you move to an area that a phone provider does not cover, or something like that. So, I asked them about it and they verified. I then told them I was moving to Eastern Europe and I would need to cancel my account, they asked for verification of some sort. So, I emailed them copies of my airline voucher, and a letter with letter head from a company in Eastern Europe stating I was moving there. That was the easy part, as I used the letter head from my basketball team over there, and gave them a phone number from Eastern Europe, and the phone that has that number is sitting in my office here at my Condo, if they would have called I would have verified that the guy they are calling about does work for us, lol. So, I was able to get out of it and went to Verizon, who let me set up the usage for overseas right away, and the next week I did head overseas, and thanks to Verizon, I was able to call if needed.

I've had Sprint for 14 years and while I've had a few issues, they've always taken care of any problems I've had. Sometimes you do get different answers from different people, which is annoying, but again, in the end they've always ended up doing the right thing. The network does leave a little to be desired, as they are still in process of upgrading their infrastructure, so if you are a heavy data user, you may want to look elsewhere. My work phone is through Verizon, and in the 4 years I've had it, service has been solid. data speeds are much faster. I can't speak to customer service or pricing, as I don't manage the account.

Been with AT&T for a LONG time. Very few complaints. Have a Verizon phone through work. For awhile everyone talked about Verizon being the best thing since sliced bread, I don't see it at all. AT&T is definitely superior than them. I'm on LTE WAY more with AT&T than Verizon and I can only recall one instance where Verizon was working and AT&T wasn't. I often find myself having to try a text several times with my Verizon phone.

I know for awhile AT&T struggled with service in this area but they have made marked improvements.

Has anybody figured out how to get out of your 'existing customer' deal with Verizon to get the new deal they are offering for $160/month and four lines with 10G? I'd like to save that $80/mo.

I've has AT&T for about 8 years. Before that I had Appalachian Wireless. If I lived any farther eastward in the mountains I'd probably still have Appalachian Wireless. It seems like that is the only service that works well in Perry, Knott, Letcher, and Floyd counties, to name a few. I think their service now shares towers with Verizon's.

I've had AT & T for a long time. Biggest issue I had was reception at my house. I added a mocro cell and it has been fantastic!

I have the 4 lines $160.00 deal. Ask them if you can get a company doscount. Mine has one and it saves me a bit of cash.

I had Nextell/Sprint for years and had several issues but their customer service was always great and handled everything well.

Went with Straight Talk two years ago and haven't looked back. Only issue I ever have is 4G signal isn't always as strong as my wife's Verizon. $45 for pretty much unlimited use is a good deal for me.

I don't plan on ever having a contract phone again or being tied to a contract.
