I've been told that Ironton has offered Tank Memorial and their brand new turf field tomorrow, but Ashland's AD refuses to return Ironton's AD's text.

Poor form.

If your serious, I would accept it if I were Mark Swift.

If true, Swift should, at least, respond to the generous offer. And, if true, yes he should except it and move all the ceremonies at Putnam to next week and open the Stadium under better circumstances.

I agree, rivals or not, Ironton is a class act program. The issue I can see is if NCC is already on their way back home. If they're not, put them up in a hotel, but if they are how can you expect them to just turn around and come back.

if it was that bad all day couldn't newcath have been told ahead of time. The pics show field almost completely covered in water. That doesn't just happen in a few minutes.

If I am NewCath I say no. 10 hours on a bus in 2 days will deff take a toll on the players. I have done the bus trips with NewCath and form my experience those adults on the bus are having fun. GO BREDS!

It wasn't bad all day. It hit about 5 or so, and started coming down like crazy. That's why we had all the flooding here.

It wasn't. It was damp this morning. But hot and humid all day after that. We had a little rain around 2pm, but not enough to cause a problem. At around 5pm it dumped rain for about two hours, with a couple more storms coming after that time. Even without the rain the game wouldn't have been completed due to lightning in the area.

As far as pics of the field, you should have seen the rest of the city. People walking in knee deep water to get to their cars. This weather event wasn't something that NCC could have been warned about in advance.

Is this a two year contract? If so, could Ashland play at NCC tomorrow and NCC make the return trip back to Ashland next year.

Nice of Ironton to offer....Tank stadium is awesome.

I can't say for sure but I would imagine it is a two year (home and home) contract. I would be all for going to NCC to get the game played. But for that to happen I would imagine the contract would have to be extended before it would be a possibility, since Ashland played at NCC last season.

Well, in this instance it did. Probably about 20 minutes.

No game tomorrow.

No game tomorrow.

What about Sunday? Monday?

By the way its still raining. If anyone wanted this game played it was Ashland, but given the circumstances it couldn't happen.

I feel bad for NCC for driving that distance and the game wasn't playable. But none of us can control mother nature.

From what I was told that's up to NCC. It would depend on whether they want to come back. If they dont I couldn't hold it against tbem due to travel. If it was a local team I couldn't see it as a problem.
