While I love Cardinal Stadium for GRC football in late September/early October. I think one of my favorites have been playing in Danville. The stadium, the players, the fans, and the food. It was a great experience.

My obvious favorite is Darrell Carter Stadium in Tompkinsville. I have really enjoyed Mayfields stadium, Paducah-Tilhman has a very nice facility. Would like to get up east to watch a mountain team play.

Of course i would want to say my own school's stadium , but i wont ,& will be impartial . The old Putnam stadium was an awesome place to see a game , but by far the worst parking . Tanks in Ironton Ohio another good one if you watch from the home side .

The Pit at Elder easily top my list.

I've seen a lot of games there over the years, and the atmosphere never ceases to amaze me.

I haven't been to Wooten Field in a minute, but it's atmosphere used to be pretty darn good. Always a nice student section that was close enough to the field you could actually hear them on the sidelines.

Beechwood always has a good atmosphere as well. And if the high school game is boring, you can always watch one of the hundreds of pick up games the little kids get going anyplace they can find 10 yards. It's the place to be in Fort Mitchell on Friday night.

Best atmosphere I ever witnessed for a Kentucky High School game was Trinity at Boone County in the 1988 state semis. UNREAL. Talk about fitting 5 pounds of sand into a 3 pound bag. They had police tape around both sidelines and people were lined up seven deep along the track. Still gives me goose bumps.

T had the oldest Brohm boy at quarterback (Jeff?) and tied the game with a late 80 something yard drive. T then won the game in overtime. One of the better high school games I've ever seen.

I'm partial to Pineville in general. If I was to ever live in EKY, Pineville and Louisa are two of the coolest little mountain towns that there are. Heck, forget the mountains...but, in the whole state; just the layout of the towns.

I agree. I love it in Pineville. Really neat place. We went to a game there last season. Good fans who were very supportive. Nice, small-school atmosphere.

I went to Bell County a couple of years ago for LaRue-Bell playoff game. Neat place to watch a game. Although I was with LaRue, fans and pressbox people were quite friendly.

Now the Middlesboro Days Inn on the other hand. ... Suffice it to say it is the only place on TripAdvisor I've given a 1 (worst) out of 5.

Fort Knox is a neat place when the soldiers are there and the team is good.

Meade County (Death Valley) takes on an eery feeling win it is sprinkling or raining and the fog comes off cemetery hill near the scoreboard.

Elizabethtown's old field -- Panthers opened a turf stadium on campus last year -- was awesome when the Panthers were good and rivals (Central Hardin, John Hardin, LaRue County) would come to town. With no track, plenty of people close to the action.

Obviously Trinity's is my favorite but if you have to take away bias, in KY they would be in no real order:

Manual Stadium, Male's field (forgot what it is called), WKU's stadium is nice for the state championship games, I went to a playoff game at one of the Lex schools (Henry Clay maybe) and I remember it was a nice stadium and I like Highlands stadium.

Outside of KY:

Elder's the Pit, Montgomery Bell had a nice stadium and a really nice campus overall.

Bourbon County

Garrard County

Lex Cath

LCA

Montgomery County

Pineville

Powell County

Thanks! :thumb:

I thought Trinity's field was great. With all respect to the Shamrock faithful, the last time I was there I saw a Trinity defeat to a NKY team.

I know the grass wasn't always alive at times, but I always enjoyed a game at the Pyramid in Alexandria.

The field at Gatlinburg-Pittman High School is really nice as is their new baseball stadium. If you're ever down there, check it out. Right behind the Anna Porter Public Library. Great views.

I would say the Pit at Elder or Ironton, OH. Locally, I am partial to SK...always like watching the sunset over the hills from the home side of the stands.

I like the crowds at Highlands as well. They do football right in Ft. Thomas.

Some of my favorites...

Putnam Stadium in Ashland has always been a really special atmosphere for football.

I really like the experiences I have had at Hazard, too. Beautiful location and nice folks.

The Tank in Ironton is full of history and it is loud.

I really enjoyed road trips to Somerset, Garrard County and Mason County
