Your Favorite Place to Watch a HS Football Game

Never been there. Would love to see a couple of teams in blue play there some day.

I would be honored to be your host for just such a game.

Wooten on a beautiful and crisp Saturday afternoon! Smell of the grills, leaves changing color, and a beautiful sunshine above you.

Are you kidding me? The site lines are terrible. Downright awful. Especially on the visitor side. The grotto is neat, but those dime store 7 row bleachers are awful. I do love the fresh grilled burgers over there. My team rarely loses there, and its still a painful place to attend a game.

Highlands, Trinity, Putnam, Manuel, and old Campbell county are my top 5.

I've always liked going over to Evansville to see a game at the Reitz Bowl. It sits up on top of a hill overlooking the lights of downtown Evansville. Back on our side of the river, Catholic's new field that they share with KWC is really nice. It has field turf and chairback seats on the home side of the stadium.

Bellevue's Gilligan Stadium, love the steep angle which the bleachers rise, great view of the field.

In no order:

Bell County, Highlands, WKU.

Boyle County and Bowling Green are easily my two favorites but those are no brainers.

St. X

Great stadium, field and concessions. :thumb:

Belfry is pretty cool and a beautiful venue for a game.

Corbin has plenty of seating and concrete bleachers for the visitors.

Under the roof at Breathitt Co...is pretty awesome when both fan bases are rocking.

Danville has so much history it's just cool to be there and soak it all up.

Of Course I love The Briar Patch @ Somerset, plenty of room for friend and foe...plus more parking available on site than most schools !

Without a doubt, always enjoyed my trips there.

Highlands' fans are a special bunch.

Sower Field Frankfort High School in October.

The cool air coming off the river. They field is surrounded by houses feels like you are closed in. Has an old 50's feel to it.

I'm going to jump across the river and say Elders Pit. I'm not a Elder fan at all. But there is def a electric feel to their games. That's probably why it's consistently ranked as one of the top places to watch a game in the country

I haven't been there since youth league but you can see well at Bellevue and Dayton.

I'm going to have to put one that hasn't been named I don't think. My favorite stadium in NKY, Dixie and the best stadium in the state hands down, Harlan County's Coal miners stadium. Awesome setting at the foot of the mountain and state of the art stadium. The first Ky high school stadium that I saw with a Jumbo Tron, now all the new facilities are getting them.

Even though I loved Belfry and some other big stadiums, I'm partial to little places. Pineville is a really neat place, right under the road.

I'm partial to Pineville in general. If I was to ever live in EKY, Pineville and Louisa are two of the coolest little mountain towns that there are. Heck, forget the mountains...but, in the whole state; just the layout of the towns.

I'm kind of partial to the feel of a game under the Friday night lights in a mountain town. Just feels like a small town and the entire community comes out to the game and you can just feel the comoraderie. It's kind of special and the layout of some of those stadiums make it perfect setting for small town get together.

The greatest atmosphere I ever felt at a High School game was At Harlan in 2012 semi final game, and the fans down there were heads and shoulders the greatest fans I can ever remember especially in defeat. Was something special.

The Pit at Elder.
