August 17, 201412 yr Question #1 I still think there are some in here who still think this hasn't been blown up into what the media wanted to make it and that is a race thing. (I myself don't think the killing was a racist shooting but the media turned it into just that) Then why would they bring in the Black Panthers? I am skeptical that the shooting was racially motivated but it is clear that the media chose to focus on the race angle from among various plausible scenarios. The Trayvon Martin shooting provided a big shot in the arm for cable news ratings, and the networks immediately framed this shooting as Trayvon II - even worse because a non-Hispanic white police officer did the shooting.

If I recall correctly, you often disparage certain communities for being overly tolerant of the KKK. Is there a double standard at work here?

In my experiences and observations, i usually believe this to be true---Those who say they aren't racist, usually are; and those who call out and accuse others of being racist--usually are.
