The KKK is an extremely racist organization and the New Black Panther Party is an extremely racist organization. You will not see me defending true racists, regardless of their skin color. The presence of racists like Al Sharpton, the Nation of Islam, and the New Black Panther Party are not constructive.

Last I saw he just thanked them within the last hour. I'm sure my twitter feed is different from yours though.

There were 7 arrests, one shooting, and a police cruiser was fired upon last night. It is reprehensible that the police department is trying to appease the rioters and looters by cozying up to black racist groups. They should be treated with the same revulsion to which the KKK would be treated.

In my world there are millions of people walking around who hold racist views who still manage to do good things from time to time. If you showed me a video of the KKK doing a good deed I wouldn't disregard their good deed because of their racist beliefs. You don't have to have ties to an organization to be a racist either.

Yeah, at 1:16 I was watching live tweets on my time line giving praise to the New Black Panther Party for their work. This afternoon the tweets I posted were from 39m and 46m ago and they were saying what the police chief said. I can go find more if you'd like. As I stated, my twitter time line is likely different from yours.

And for the record(before people start getting confused) I am not joining the New Black Panther Party nor am I condoning their controversial beliefs. At the same time I am not going crap all over them when all the reports I see on twitter are positive about what they are doing in Ferguson.

You do not have to be a member of an organization to be a racist, but some organizations require you to share their racist view of the world to become a member. The New Black Panther Party and the KKK are two such organizations. Both should be shunned by a civil society.

You are right. The leader of the chant could be an imposter, just trying to smear the good name of the New Black Panther Party. Maybe my laptop speakers produce better quality sound than you have, but it is very easy to understand that most of the responses to the chant are calling for death. In fact, I would bet that a good lip reader could make out the words of a couple of the guys in the front row of the audience.

 

I did notice that a couple of people appeared to be embarrassed to be present for the rally. Good for them. It was probably not the call for calm that they were expecting.

So 7 arrests, one shooting, and a cruiser being damaged means they didnt help get people in by curfew?

No, it does not mean that they did not help get some people off of the street by the curfew but it does not justify the government teaming up with a racist organization to help keep the city from being destroyed either.

 

The police cruiser was "damaged" by a bullet, which could have struck an officer of an innocent protester. Normally, such an event would be met with an energetic investigation, but the police in Ferguson seem to have raised the white flag.

 

What has happened to the businesses in Ferguson, as the police stood by and watched, has made an excellent case for preserving our Second Amendment rights.

I still think there are some in here who still think this hasn't been blown up into what the media wanted to make it and that is a race thing.

 

(I myself don't think the killing was a racist shooting but the media turned it into just that) Then why would they bring in the Black Panthers?
