Strong's Brick Oven Pizzeria

Featured Replies

Between Strong's, Dewey's, and Noce's in Crestview Hills I can't hardly eat franchise pizza any more.

Have you had Goodfellas?

Noce's is very similar to Strong's.

Dewey's is more gourmet pizza. Very good.

Stongs and Noce's are both very good, but I don't find them very similar. Stong's uses a brick oven, is lighter on the sauce, and is much closer to gourmet. Their pizza menu is pretty diverse...vodka, Mediterranean, etc. Noce's is very good, New York style. More sauce, and much more basic menu. I like both, but if I had to choose, hands down, it's Strong's.

I'm pretty lukewarm about Dewey's, honestly. It's solid, but not the best I've ever had. And for what it costs, I'd rather go a number of different places - including my own kitchen.

Dewey's is good, but to me, not worth the price. I don't do franchise pizza much anymore either, aside from the occasional Snappy's out of convenience. My go to favorite, reasonably priced pizza though, is still Riverfront Pizza in Covington. Best pizza for the price for me.

Strongs is very Strong !!! Love it...if you like hot and spicy try their Diablo Pizza...Fire!!!

Family owned which makes it even better.

I love Strongs, first time I went in there was about a year ago. Owner was cooking pizza and asked how it all went and if we enjoyed it. Gone back ever since.

Christian Strong and his wife are really nice people.

Going to try this out in the next couple weeks. What is the best option on the menu
We did one pepperoni and one signature pie with vodka sauce. Excellent combination. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Maybe it was a bad day. But I had Strong's one time and heard it was going to be great. Convinced the family to pick it up. It was nothing special.... Like I said... Maybe it was a bad day?

I was in Louisville today. Had Blaze pizza. Really, really good.

Beats them all imo. Great NY style pizza.

Had it for the 2nd time tonight. Very good!

We almost headed for Strongs tonight but decided to visit Mokka since we had never been.

Was in town on Sunday, and stopped by. All members of the family agree. Normally, we're not big on the super thin crusts, but this could change my mind...crisp, but not burnt.

I think many of the opinions on pizza and pizza joints is based on personal preference. If you are a thick crust or pan pizza person, you are probably not going to prefer Strongs. If you are a "hearth baked" person, which tend to be thin crust and crispy, then you are going to LOVE Strongs. It's my favorite sytle pizza.
