Last I heard is he was going to put it on land in Covington and open it again. That was the last plans I heard. It was being docked in Hebron until they got it moved and opened again. He was still working on getting the licenses etc. with the city.
August 5, 201412 yr I'll be out on the water tonight in my yacht. (well OK, it's just a 21' open bow). I think it is down river, I'll probably head down that way to check it out. The article said it was sideswiped by a barge in late June, Wondering if that had something to do with the current situation? Also heard he was going to rebuild it on land but use a pole system that would allow it to be in the flood plane but be on land until the water came up?

Jeff Ruby's Waterfront restaurant to be rebuilt on land Per article, Hosea owns the old Waterfront and its contents except for Ruby's art. It sounds to me like Ruby was not going to use this building and is doing a new Waterfront building on land.
August 5, 201412 yr First, these things do happen, when they repair vessels, the thing is downriver now, someone on here says Hebron, being repaired. It had some issues with the hull. And as VOR and others pointed out, Ruby is building the new one on land, and the landing/overlook area next to the Suspension Bridge. I was unaware that Hosea bought it

It sounds to me like Ruby was not going to use this building and is doing a new Waterfront building on land. Hosea is involved in the Purchase but it hasn't changed hands yet with Sole Ownership. Ruby still owns it as of Aug 5th. Whew, thank goodness for Hosea. Hosea was contracted to move all of Ruby's belongings(priceless artwork) off the boat and put into Hosea's Warehouse for packing and storage. It is a partnership between Jeff Ruby & David Hosea in the Sale and if it doesn't sell by Jan 1, it would be scheduled for scrap that would be performed by Hosea. The Waterfront was hit by a Gravel barge about 4 or 5 weeks ago one foggy morning and there was repairs that were made. Not sure why it sunk but it wont sink any further.
