Isn't the C&B Marine Dave Hammond's business?

C&B (Carlisle & Bray) is the company formed by the merger of Greater Cincinnati Marine (Carlisle) and Bray Marine. Their home office is in the RiverCenter, Covington.

Ruby"s steak are very good. I've had a bunch that are a lot better. Downtown is my favorite. Precinct sucks. Nothing worse than trying to pull off a romantic dinner with an 88 year old lady sitting 8 inches from you talking about her bladder issues.

Precinct's food is the best, plus a salad & side are included. I agree that the seating is too close, but if you make reservations, you can typically avoid that. Plus, the bar area is great.

Tried the reservation route and still got the crappy tables. I now have a hookup at ruby's downtown that gets me a primo table when needed. The bar idea is a great one. We have been doing a bit of this lately. I love doing it when I'm out of town. The bartenders usually have some good tips for things to do.

I love Jeff Ruby and will continue to eat at his restaurants (when I can afford them)! I have never been turned down by Ruby's people when I contact them for donations to which ever school I'm trying to raise money for. He is a class act who gives back to the community whenever he can. Love his downtown restaurant the best so far, but I'm heading to Louisville this weekend and hope to try that one out. Can't wait until he opens in Lexington!

Just make a special request along with your reservation. It has worked every time for me...

I did, it was an anniversary dinner and I told them so. I'm guessing Im not a regular and it was crowded that evening. I'd rather go downtown anymore, Nice to walk around and stop in a local bar or two afterwards.
