TV was on last night and there was some guy on Huckabee railing against the Israelis for pretty much everything they have done and are doing.

Actually, if you watch the video on that site from State Of The Union, Pelosi says that the Qataris have told her this and that maybe we can use their influence to help end the conflict. Meaning, since the Qataris are friends with Hamas maybe they can convince Hamas to end the conflict. As right after she said this Candy asked her is she thought that Hamas was a terrorist organization, and Pelosi said "Yes".

To a certain extent... they are. Like a lot of terror groups or even gangs here in the United States, they use social programs and public assistance programs to get in good with the local populations. Sometimes they take care of people better than the institutions that should be doing the job... that's when you have problems.

The fact that Pelosi would give any credence to Hamas being humanitarians is damning enough. Add that to the willingness to do anything with Qatar (watch the latest edition of REAL Sports with Bryant Gumbel) which may be the most corrupt "nation" on Earth and it's really a stupid thing for Nancy the nincompoop to say.

I don't think she gave them any credence, she just mentioned what Qatar stated, and that maybe since they are friends that they could talk to Hamas. I don't think she gave any credence to them also because Candy asked her a few seconds later if she thought Hamas was a terrorist organization and she said "yes". If it will end the conflict it would be good for the civilians on both sides, regardless of who is able to get through to Hamas.

Not sure you can "get through" to Hamas. Their stated goal is to eradicate the Jews and destroy Israel.

As usual, the truth is probably somewhere between cnsnews and msnbc.
